Teenage pregnancy is a thing that happens; and plenty of those pregnancies get carried to term. Unless the pregnancy is noticed too late, that means there are expectant mothers out there both considering and rejecting the idea of an abortion.

And no one died of a brain aneurysm before doctors discovered that concept. Whiff.

Wow, with that much stupid it is amazing you can figure out how to create a Kinja account. I mean, that comment is colossally stupid. It makes plain stupid look like a Hegelian tome. Do you dress yourself? I’ll bet you eat with a rubber spoon.

Aside from Maude, I can’t think of a major american protagonist in the last 50 years who has chosen abortion. Not someone who had one as part of a back story, but a major cultural character who chooses an abortion.

“Let’s watch another politically neutral film - you know, like Top Gun, The Green Berets, or Rambo III.”

When every cultural product shows protagonists making the “choice” to not have an abortion, it is less a choice than a mandate.

Diablo Cody is irrelevant, and her history has been making questionable choices and then trying to explain them away. She is not a good human being.

Well, furries.

I am guessing said company is steering clear of anything attached the The Mouse. The Mouse does not fuck around. NBC, apparently, does.

Crowded out? It is maybe three films a year. There are plenty of other good films, even more if you count streaming. The anxiety about the MCU is so overblown.

The directors who produced Hugo, The Irishman, Jack, and Godfather III ought to be a bit more generous toward toward other films.

They will, of course, charge $10 a plastic flute for it.

This was Variety, not Harper’s. Did you expect more from them? Vogue has better writing.

Flares have returned. So have big, fake eyelashes. Mullets are not far behind. I fear the rat-tails.

Not just young men. My daughter attempted to explain to me why she and her girlfriends were all dressed up for the premiere. OK - rock on. You all missed out on prom during COVID, so you have earned quite a bit of goodwill.

This was a complete film. Not every film needs a sequel. This can lead to nothing good. What, is he salivating because Maverick made some money?

I envy you then.

Click on the link for the Gary Baum article. It is a good piece of writing. Other than that, she is just annoying. She is always demanding people buy her merch - for interviews, for pictures, etc. She has been known to accost people for money who snap a picture of her in public.

My favorite line of the night was when Cumberbatch in the opener said he was beat by Will Smith...for the Oscar.

I find it hard to believe that Michael thought the toilet sketch was awful, but that the sign sketch was even better this time. The sign sketch got old quick the first time - this time around when Aidy opened the first one, I thought, “oh not this bit again.”
