My favorite ongoing bit on all of this is the pictures of candidates Trevor Noah shows during his “World War D” segments, where he shows a grid of candidate pics and always throws in a random sci-fi or cartoon character amongst the mix.  Says it all.

Not if you are with the right company.

No, that is not socialism. Socialism in a workplace means that the lazy worker has to answer to the collective and can be kicked out of the collective by the other workers. Where did you learn about socialism, from Ayn Rand porn?

I agree with you, and enjoy dining in Europe this way. I think we should adopt it in America. But they can keep the whole charging for water and no ice thing. Best of both worlds.

Right. If you are such a “free thinker,” why do you mindlessly repeat MAGA talking points?

Exactly this. When bow tie puppy head tilt boy inevitably uses this as his evidence of “racism” on “the left,” someone should ask him, “Okay, FTucker, let’s be clear, is that where we are going to set the bar for EVERYONE?” Watch him sputter himself into a black hole powered by the massive gravity of his collossal ego

That is beautiful kinja. Oh, and he is not just some Chad, but THE REAL CHAD! (yeah, I know about authentication, but still funny).

So, I am guessing she would not have done this to loud, white, 20 somethings. Well, she could not have, because, what word would she have used that would have had remotely the same impact?

People with big “buts” tend to be racist. YMMV

Just want to pop in and say, I don’t know you, but what you went through is awful, and as just one human to another, I hope and wish and pray the best for you. I cannot imagine what that would be like, but I imagine I would be devistated.

What we REALLY need is to get a Dave Chappell show back on the air!

I can’t be the only one who heard Huey Freeman’s (Regina King’s) voice while I was reading JJ.

WTF is he doing out of the greys?

...and by paying [Burns] less than younger, less qualified professors [emphasis mine]

But look at the wonderful company we keep with a death penalty - Saudi Ara...oh hell, we all know the list.

Being against the death penalty isn’t about the types of people we execute, whatever their crimes. It is about the type of people we, as a nation, want to be.

While Scott St. George is true on the limitations of tree ring and sediment data, historians are supporting these findings. Some of the most interesting work, lately, has been a marriage of science and humanities - using scientific data and combining it with documents from the time period.  There are a number of

Its the age old tale - pass laws and regulations too keepthings transparent and safe. Business people find loopholes to do things that are neither, but make more money. Laws and regs are passed to close loopholes. The cylce continues a couple of times until business people complain there are too many regulations and

I meant more that the idea for DS9 looks suspiciously like a pitch to WB from JMS before - DS9 is a fine show, probably my favorite of the STs. But ST always seems like a fantasy future where only captains and legends matter. What I liked about B5 is how it subverted that idea. Sheridan and Gkar become legends and it

An overload of redundancy!
