I think you're getting hung up on her being labeled a pilot. I get it, the writer is trying to entice by (very minor) hyperbole, but all he's really saying is that she is capable of competently piloting a fighter, enough that she can go on missions as such. Scratch that, she's the leader of guerilla freedom fighters;

Except many stores have reverted back to cashiers because it actually ended up being more trouble than it was worth.

It's better than nothing (and obviously it would just continue to complicate the matter to the point where it's probably not worth it at all but reimbursement money could also be put into a trust or escrow ahead of time to guarantee that money exists)

No, they meant the second mother (the one that isn't biological). Something like "in the event biological father is required to pay child support in reference to state or federal law, non-biological parent is required to reimburse all necessary expenses in advance of required payment date."

I wonder if one could make a more airtight contract that said "in the event biological father is required to pay child support in reference to state or federal law, non-biological parent is required to reimburse all necessary expenses in advance of required payment date."

I think motion blur works well if the game is moving, say, above 40fps, anything lower and looks too choppy (and having the motion blur on is probably a big culprit). I really like motion blur but only if it doesn't dip the game's FPS down below 40, which ruins the point.

If prices are always coming down then it makes as much sense to buy now as it is to buy later. If he buys something now and then checks prices in January he'd be disappointed; If he waits to buy til January and checks prices in February he'd be disappointed (in fact he might be more disappointed because he just lost

Eh, as much as I think it would be cool to see the movie WE (the fans) envision Tarantino coming up with, I really don't think that's something he's interested in making. For one he's not a big fan of VFX at all (though hopefully that means he'd do good miniature work) but I think he works better when he's tweaking an

You're right they shoulda fired him during Rosh Hoshanna

Damn someone beat me to it.

He's selling these? How are these just straight up not copyright infringement?

I pretty immediately freelanced as soon as I graduated college so it's something I've known more than employed work. I really just kinda made it up as I went along and googled what I didn't know. It's been 7 years and going stronger than ever (including still not incorporating. This coming year might be the year

Question regarding restoring Time Machine backup that has an older version of OSX? Fiancee had a hard drive failure recently on holiday and when she comes home will restore from a Time Machine backup.

Oops I sent a reply to emrichar but wasn't sure if you'd see it. See my reply to him for a reply to you.

I agree. I'm freelancing in the 50k+ level and I am still just a sole proprietorship (my very good accountant is keeping an eye on this and will advise me when it's worth incorporating). This is partly because I'm from California and LLC's are very expensive to start here (800+). If it was cheaper you could do it or

That's something I hadn't thought of (I mean obviously nothing's stopping other imaging software from making local backups, but I guess if it's stored in the cloud it's a problem). Still sucks though, I just bought a family plan thinking I could save myself having to make time machine backups of the two new computers

Definitely the best shot in mainstream film all year, and arguably the greatest "superhero" shot in a comic book movie ever. You can't ever capture a Jack Kirby style composition into one simple shot, but I can envision this as something John Byrne would cram into one double-spread panel.

Yes, this is pretty terrible, and generally unacceptable, so I just wanted to take this time to complain about a pet peeve of mine: that if this were a fan film, the headline would say "HOLLYWOOD NEEDS TO MAKE THIS HONG KONG PHOOEY FAN FILM INTO A REAL MOVIE," and the rest of the article would refer to how much better

I warning and a lesson for those using Crashplan to back up your systems... I should've known better, but Crashplan does not work (at least on a Mac) as a total system recovery tool, only as a file recovery tool. You can not (at least in a straightforward enough manner) recover your backed-up system if you're starting

You know how the HDR feature takes multiple exposures at different settings to combine into a high dynamic range image? Eventually couldn't you just do the same thing but instead of changing aperture you quickly change focus from back to front, and then process out a lytro-type file?
