I mostly use my iPad for reading comic books (or rather it's the only thing I do on my iPad that I can't adequately do on any other digital device), which is just big enough to read pages without swiping around. 7 inches will simply be too small to read comics on, I think (can anyone who's tried it confirm or deny

Stupid and you might well be strongarmed out of there, but no hotel pool worth sneaking into would risk having a police situation distracting them for a simple trespassing case.

I don't remember exactly the establishing shot of the hospital, but I found it slightly disturbing that other than that possible shot, there were no black people in Kenya, not even working in the hospital? Instead we get a jungle country that's populated by lions, giraffes, wildebeests, and lions.

Man even I'm too lazy to use the Facebook app instead of Safari, but if I would it was simply because I assumed it would cut down on data connections. Turns out not. Still gonna stick with Safari then!

According to this: [www.eng-tips.com] molten steel has a density of 0.26lb/cubic inches (approx), or 7.2 g/cc (wolfram alpha ftw)

Except this movie ISN'T JUST about vampire killing. It's about Abraham Lincoln, perhaps the most famously admired American. The filmmakers gambled that the cachet of historical speculation would be what would set this movie apart from the other non-Twilight vampire films that have failed recently.

I'm with serenada, because I think the movie definitely conflates them. The real revisionist history here is thinking that the film's makers were not aiming to achieve accolades for both making an entertaining movie AND crafting a competent historical speculative story.

I don't know specifically which laptop you have, but I'll assume it's this:

The comparable Air has 1.8ghz Core i5 versus 1.6 for the Folio 13 ([www.shopping.hp.com]). The MBA has 26% more pixels in the display, and weighs .4 pounds less. The folio DOES have an extra USB port (usb 2.0) and doesn't require an adapter for HDMI, and it has slightly better battery life.

I've never seen these 1-dollar debits (or any debits; I mostly use a credit card but never even for the debit cards) nor have I ever heard of this issue other than now, but it seems shocking that they would be able to keep doing that and not have people notice and complain. That sucks that it happened to you, I don't

I WILL say that as much as I patronize Amazon's business, I can't let them off completely for their own brand of shady business practice... or, at least, the same type of business practices that say, Walmart or GE have gotten major flak from the media for, namely squeezing small local businesses with loss-leader

I'd love to see your comparison between a non-apple product and an apple product that's twice as expensive that isn't twice as good. And I understand if your priorities are different, but some of us place a high value on portability, durability, battery life, resale value, and lack of bloatware. Enough to pay extra

I've had two experiences with Apple Customer Service, one stellar and one acceptable:

I still have trouble searching emails on the server using the Mail app.

I'm thinking of buying a kit to replace the HDD on my 17" MBP (late 2010) with an SSD and move the HDD to the optical drive. Any idea if the prices on those have also gone down accordingly?

sorry for repeating an earlier reply I made to a previous commenter:

Not that I've actually followed up on this but the guest on NPR today also brought up that as far as teens are concerned interest in science is surprisingly equal... it's not until later in life are women discouraged from taking on actual science careers. And I'm going to assume that a 25-year-old woman who would

I'm going to assume now that this is what caused the drop in quality scientists by the time Prometheus happens.
