I vaguely remember being deeply troubled by that ending as a kid. Like, I think it seriously bummed me out.

Well…
When I got HBO Now through Sling TV (back when it wasn't available on the Roku stick on its own, you had to get Sling to get it) I noticed that the earlier seasons of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" were stretched out to fit widescreen instead of streaming in its original full screen aspect ratio and it looked HORRIBLE. …
Heh…I feel like an anomaly, because all the way to the end I was on the fence. The last episode was the one that actually convinced me to actually continue on with season 2 whenever it comes out. Like, I kind of enjoyed most of the second half, but even then it was with serious reservations.
I had pretty much no interest in this show until someone on here was raving about it a few weeks ago, now I am really excited to check it out.
I really try to give every show the benefit of the doubt, especially if someone recommended it. I will usually give any show four or five episodes before giving up, which I think is pretty reasonable. Sometimes it works out, sometimes I feel like I wasted my time (looking at you, OITNB).
Not being snarky here…have you seen "BoJack Horseman"? It is seriously one of the best shows on television. You have to stick with it because it starts out really rough but it ends up being incredibly rewarding.
This.
I was absolutely blown away by this film. I've seen it twice and loved it both times. The last scene is incredibly beautiful.
Wait 'till you get to 7.
The way he says that line is SO HAUNTING.
Yeah, she was an asshole.
OH LORD. That rehearsal footage has one of my favorite NIN performances ever.
Yeah. The last US tour (before this most recent one with Soundgarden) was pretty amazing. Incredible visuals + 25 or so songs + a nice mix of new songs, older hits and deep cuts ("All the Love in the World"!!!) made it a pretty great experience.
I really wonder if it's Trent. When I saw NIN back in November he played probably 8 or 9 songs off the new album and opened with a new song. Granted, he played like 25 songs, so there was plenty of older stuff, but still. It didn't feel like a nostalgia act at all, and his new album was very well received by fans. …
I saw them in November and it was amazing. I *loved* all the new material, and I love the new album. There are plenty of die hard NIN fans out there who still eat up everything he does like it's still 1994. I'm one of them.
I thought the same thing.
Definitely. It got a few good laughs out of me each episode but a lot of the jokes fell flat. But it wasn't the comedy that kept me coming back, it was the story and the drama. I was shocked by how deep and smart and engaging it was by the last stretch.
I don't blame people for not liking the show, but I give no credit to anyone's opinion if they haven't seen the entire season. I wouldn't necessarily say that about every show, but this particular show is so much different and SO MUCH better by the end that hearing people say it sucks and then admit they've only seen…
I went from "oh, that first episode sucked" to "well, this is getting better" to "this is ok" to "this is good" to "this is really good" to "holy crap, this show is GREAT." It took some time but it got there. It's terrific. I can't wait for season 2.
Somewhere Joe Rogan just shit his pants.
