RE4 : Shoot zombs on the face, kick him before other zombs swarm you, helps to keep distance. Shoot zombs on the knee, either knife them or finish them with a kick. Oh and you can also do suplexes to finish them off.

Every mechanic in that game was deliberate. Was a modern take on the older RE combat and the movement was deliberately clunky and limited because of course it was a survival horror game. But I would argue that if you understand the mechanics of its enemies and the purpose of every weapon, it’s pretty much a smooth…
They are fine ‘making’ (more like) games out of Dota mods, CCGs or anything that is popular and easily profitable..
Spot on.
Nah. They are very good at making money by making bad games.
Too much love for God King Gabe Newell.
Valve sure likes “surprise” mechanics.
Almost like gambling. Almost. Just a little bit more.
More sales. More money for Gaben.

The “Doom” of third-person shooters. Which is not exactly a bad thing. The visual feedback of hitting something is essential in every shooter. Doom 2016 has it but it wasn’t enough. Eternal is looking better on the gore department, with demons actually disintegrating when shot.
Lol “revolutionary”. Resident Evil 4 was revolutionary. Which essentially where Gears of War got its third person shooting.
It wasn’t “safe” it’s mediocre, half-assed and lazy, with good graphics which PC gamers find cool. Which is weird, because behind that gloss was a pretty lame game. THAT repetitive, copy paste horde mode style in the campaign was insulting. I would dare say that there’s more care on putting loot boxes in the game than…
From Software has a weird habit of reusing enemy models each game. Or at least the same fighting style/attack animations of certain enemy archetypes from game to game, making you feel it’s a new game at the same time it’s still has that from soft feel from the last.
Anything for that sweet, sweet microtransaction money.
How about level design? Actual interesting enemy encounters?
You would think that they have figured out, after multiple games that that magnetic slide looks awful and will take you out of immersion. Lazy developers.
When I play gears of war, i feel like i have to shoot bullet sponges before i get that satisfying gore. I feel like gears would be better if it had DOOM 2016's gore system.
IT IS THE BEST THIRD-PERSON SHOOTER EVER. And it isn’t silly to compare it to Gears. That game has one of the most satisfying third-person shooting in the game. So good.
