Trump ran an anti-Semitic campaign against a Methodist, though. Bernie’s right, who the hell knows what would have happened.

Actually, there’s value in celebs not publicising giant donations:

Dear Republicans: I think we’d all prefer to see fewer abortions. Do you know what prevents abortions? Sex ed and birth control. Who provides these things? Planned Parenthood.

People have been sharing the Jonathan Pie video all over my Facebook, and I just can’t with them. Bernie was never going to get all the votes from people who want a government so tiny it fits in our vaginas. ALSO it’s absolute wishful thinking to imagine “socialist” is not stilla four letter word in most of the US.

I actually teared up at this sentence: I am grateful for and stand in support of Planned Parenthood for giving Katheryn Hudson the knowledge to plan, and for continuing to be a haven for women to learn all options for their future.

Elizabeth Warren.

I am a not-so-secret lover of Perry’s music (pure pop cheese genius for the most part), and this makes me actually love her. More celebrities need to step up like she, Joss Whedon, and others have.

The Facebook comments on this complaining about the “tiny” amount Katy gave are giving me the shakes.

I think if she publicly posted too large an amount, it might actually discourage others from donating smaller amounts “Oh, Katy Parry has it taken care of”, and for all we know, she’ll be doing it monthly.

There is no way in hell Bernie was going to defeat Trump. It baffles me that people can’t understand that.

I’m guessing this wasn’t the only donation Katy has made all year. Maybe she supports many causes in $10k chunks. Maybe she has already privately donated $1MM to PP this year, as she pointed out this is a *public* donation. I have never really cared about Katy Perry one way or the other, but she did a great thing by

Additionally, it should be remembered that she grew up in a VERY religious Evangelical family. Her dad is a pastor. Her very first album (Released under Katy Hudson) was a christian album.

I switched my Amazon Smile charity to Planned Parenthood. And because in my area there are two- one for the regular clinics, and one for the “surgical” clinics, as they termed it, I made sure to pick the one that actually helps people get abortions.

I also quit donating to United Way starting at the beginning of next

FYI - for Jezzies who have Amazon Prime: if you have not signed up for Amazon Prime Smile, do so! The program makes a donation to the charity of your choice (in my case, my regional PP) every time you order a “qualifying” item. Not sure how many items are “qualifying”, but I do notice that my total number of

I didn’t have much of an opinion on Katy Perry before the election, but she is really impressing me. You know that her support for Hillary and for PP has to be pissing off some of her fans, so good for her for speaking up.

Yeah, the comments on her instagram post are a nighmare.

I’m impressed that she’s so vocal about it. Pop stars have to appeal to the masses for success and thus I could see a PR team advising against being a vocal supporter of Planned Parenthood and abortion rights.

I am so happy with Katy Perry right now. so happy .

I started a monthly donation to PP yesterday! I look forward to sharing this with my evangelical sister in law when she starts on about how she didn’t have an abortion (you know, when she got knocked up by a guy who was not her husband). Fun fun!

I admired her dedication to Hillary-inspired fashion (remember how lighthearted we once were?!) before the election, but this is something meaningful to be impressed and inspired by.
