I’ve been incredibly surprised by this show. The show has just two main characters, they rarely share screentime together and it WORKS. The show works in such a moving, stirring, captivating way. If the show wasn’t on Freeform, it’d be getting a lot more praise from the ‘prestige’ TV press.

My wife and I were very skeptical when we first decided to check out the show because it was on Freeform. My wife reads a lot of YA trash (I still love her) so our previous attempt at Shadowhunters made us think Freeform has no idea how to handle genre TV.
