In simple terms, I suspect it’s because there are a lot of folks with exploitative personality disorders out there (NPD, BPD, etc) who, precisely because of their illness, refuse any kind of psychotherapy —so their caretakers/partners/family wind up in therapy instead.

Hahahaha, I’d watch it!

I always wonder whether I had imagined Brian Dunkleman for that brief early aughts moment... Sorta like the Sinbad movie ‘Shazam!’

Don’t worry, Angelina Jolie is NOT moving to Camodia.

I get it, Lindsay. I cut off the tip of my finger while chopping sweet potatoes and now I truly understand the plight of the Maori.

Yeah, I have to say I am always skeptical (but not in a mean or judgmental way) when people say this because it’s what I’ve done in the past and I have a long, long history with eating disorders. I lied a lot, not to make others feel bad, but because I felt like I had to. I’m sure many of these women do lie about

I definitely don’t want to judge people for telling the truth if the truth is that they eat what they want and stay thin. I also agree that the model pool has more of the naturally effortlessly thin than the general population. I find it hard to find the right words without trying to seem like I’m judging people for

I gave birth a few months back (four months and a day, but who’s counting...), and in the bathroom at the labor ward there was a wardrobe where they kept all of the maternity pads. I went to get one and there was a card fastened to the inside of the door that said “turn this card over to the blank side if you are

I would have LOVED to see Chris Pratt play someone like that. It could have been so interesting.

What I don’t understand is how supposedly normal people could even attempt to cover for this animal because he is “family”. Any relative I have that would do this to a child; they’d better run to the police rather than let me find them. They saw her body in their HOME FFS. It isn’t like they could pretend he was

Where’s the proof that they actually fired this nutjob? Are we assuming this because they say so? Cuz they also said he never worked for them in the first place.

While money and resources would be fantastic, I cannot imagine dealing with depression when people everywhere might recognize me. Being famous would suuuuuuck. When I’m in a shit state and drag myself to the grocery store in dirty sweatpants and greasy hair because I can’t afford to get delivery every day and also

Ugggh, when my depression hits hard I have gone dayyyys without taking care of myself, when people see me I’m all made up and glam but holy crap, if they come to my house unannounced they are in for a surprise. Also, I agree with ALL of this.

She also doesn’t have to perform if she doesn’t want to after all of the money she’s made. I understand what your saying and think what you said is valid, and appreciate you sharing your experience (which I hope improves). But I also don’t think its responsible to share a story without touching (at minimum) on how

Creating space isn’t always about punishing the person. It’s about getting away from an unhealthy dynamic, which can exist at any age between two people in a close relationship. The quotes I read from Naomi about the situation didn’t give me the impression that she’s mad at Wynonna or even that she didn’t understand

On the flip side, I can’t imagine having unlimited resources to fight mental Illness and still feeling like shit. I imagine it’s very hopeless to not even be able to cling to “if only I had money for a therapist/shaman/meds”

Bless her heart. I have mild depression/anxiety (very well managed with medication) and I can’t imagine going through something like that in the public eye.

You wonder what the other people in their lives may have had to put up with on account of their actorly dedication. Although, as you alluded, at least it’s the actors themselves bearing the brunt of things.
