A valid point, but the whole goal of the 1995 redesign seems to have been to modernize the car closer to contemporary standards, so this is all based on that perceived goal.

I actually was first introduced to Firefly when it was originally broadcast. Unfortunately, at that time, I didn’t manage to watch all of the episodes thanks to Fox switching the nights it aired seemingly week-to-week (and also never airing three of the episodes at all until it was rebroadcast on SyFy).
