I’m sure things have changed since then, so this is all the recollections of an old guy...

“I still don’t think everyone and their mother needs one as a daily driver—and I still don’t think trucks are for me.”

IF it had a stock looking front bumper, and
IF the wastegate was ported down instead of up, and
IF it had a stock hood, and
IF it didn’t have those cheap-ass fender flares, and
IF it had some period correct wheels under it, then it might be a nice price for the nostalgia and radwoodability of it.

They didn’t even wait for tomorrow.

Austin metro area here. I haven’t lost power or gas, though all of my so-workers lost at least power at some point. I haven’t left the house since Saturday.

I have what turned out to be a single use tool...

Ripped the exhaust off a Datsun 510 this way once. Thankfully I was only a half mile from my mechanic’s shop at the time.

I’m in Texas, and old Datsuns have no air conditioning, so yep, tinted the windows.

I disagree on the Datsun 510 you have in the middle there. I used to daily drive one. when I got it the B and C pillars and doorframes were body colored, but I fixed that. From this:

Very cool! I have always liked the little Mini. I only wish I could get an original one here in the states.

Thanks! If I ever see the Mercury wagons, I’ll probably pick them up. Part of this hobby for me is the “hunt in the wild” aspect of it. I appreciate when I find them in stores instead of paying someone else for them on eBay or something. I had an original Alive 55 when I was a kid, but my mom sold it at a garage sale

I have thousands of cars in my collection. I pick up Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars whenever I see something I like. At the moment I don’t have much on display since I moved in November and am still figuring out where I want things, so these are two display boxes from before the move as well as a couple of customs I

Yep.

I’d want something like this glorious beast right here:

Sure, I could have looked it up on my own (and I did) but my point was that it should have been a part of the article.

I’m kind of obsessive with the maintenance on my current car (2017 Mustang with the 2.3 Ecoboost engine). I want it to last me for a looonnnngggg time, so I feel like I need to be. I’m not quite overboard, since I do oil changes every 5000 miles, but to be fair I use only synthetic and am always within 100 miles for

The one thing I didnt see in this “review” is...

Kind of torn between this:

OK Mercedes, knock it off with the slideshows. We don’t like them. They could have the best content in the world hidden within them and some of us aren’t going to go through them to find out.

Came here to make sure this got posted. Am satisfied. Have a star.
