Me: I need a fuel pump.
Parts Monkey: What are you working on?
Me: 1971 Datsun 510
PM: What motor?
Me: The only one they came with. 1.6L OHC
PM: We don’t have that.
Me: OK, try a 1977 Datsun 720 Pickup, 2L motor.
PM: Oh, I have one of those, but I’m sure it won’t work on your 510.
Me: yes, it will. Datsuns are like Legos.

This is why my uncle, a longtime Minneapolis resident, moved across the river into Wisconsin...

My 2017 Ecoboost Mustang is pretty heavily modified, and so far I’ve only taken it in to the dealer for oil changes. They seem to appreciate having something come in where the owner is making no effort to hide the modifications and dealing with them honestly. If something were to happen I anticipate they’d deal with

I was thinking the same thing.

uh, turbo, vs. N/A...

This is Austin, they NEVER know they messed up. They actually believe that their shitty driving is perfectly acceptable, so, no, that doesn’t work.

Neither do the Ford Ecoboost engines. They all like life down low, and run out of power before 7000 RPM.

And my 4-cyl turbo Ecoboost Mustang walked one last night from a light after he revved at me. And yes, he was trying...

I’m a gearhead who has three daughters. Throughout their lives I have tried to get all three of them into cars in some way by including them when I went out to events.

That is by far the HAPPIEST Fiesta I’ve ever seen!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is Episode VIII, not 9, not 10, but 8. Someone needs to learn how to count.

So, Stef, you’re coming out this weekend?

Most of these stories make me feel really old...

As an Austin local who is on all kinds of COTA mailing distributions I didn’t even hear about this until Sunday was almost over. Someone needs to remind the COTA folks that they can get more spectators if they just tell people about the events!

I’ve been trying to sell my family on my racing all year now, and would love a set of tires from #10. So far I’ve managed track visits with them, but the budget has all been me...

So much sadness in that video.

Came here to say this, was not disappointed! Have a star!

Driver’s ed in Indiana in the early 80's was a two part course. The classroom portion was taught in the high schools and had all of the requisite horror films like “death on the highway” and “drunk driving and you”. I took it in the spring after I turned 15 before getting my learner’s permit at the beginning of that

And that is exactly what I was thinking when reading the article, race car hauler...

Sometimes I still miss mine...
