I’d guess that it’s in how much this film’s (and the arcade game’s) premise sounds like it might have come from an 8-year-old’s notebook. In spite of the clear nostalgia play, Rampage looks like a silly good time for most ages in a way that Godzilla might not be, or maybe in Rock terms, an unofficial sequel to Jumanji.

The odds of anyone else recalling it are slim, but I really like the opening credits of the Wing Commander film from 1999. They do a great job of setting the stage with starcharts, spacefaring history and even audio from early Kilrathi contact. It’s kind of like a darker version of the credits to Star Trek Enterprise,

I love this scene, but I think that it’s much better than most of the film that follows it, which I agree is just not very good.

This is the second or third time that Mad About You has come up in the last several years and caused me to blink, having realized that I’d completely forgotten about the show. It was very familiar back then, especially the theme song, and I watched it quite a bit but somehow time really has flattened its edges.

Robinson resembles the youngest member of Hanson.

I’m sincerely interested in seeing Plummer play Lex Luthor.

“Save...[mechanical cough] Production Facility B-4311...from being demoli—”

More than meets the eye (robot).

As it turns out, the quiet-Office scenario is far less compelling here than the inherently-context-straining but perfect shots of Mose.

Ken Jennings must be jealous that Schur beat him to that handle (I have no idea what Jennings actually uses, if he is on Twitter).

I’m really interested in watching some vintage performances, after what you guys are saying. I’m aware of Buckingham’s all-around musical prowess, but haven’t seen him go crazy live.

*stern look from Christine McVie fan*

    Little lies, all of it.

I’m not qualified to talk about Green Lantern, really, but if they ever need to recast that Hector Hammond role that Peter Sarsgaard played, Buckingham might be worth considering, David Bowie-style casting gamble.

Aquaman still has a lot to prove. Jason Momoa is cool, but from what I’ve seen of the character onscreen...I don’t even know what to say.

I immediately thought of Roger Federer’s gliding, relatively effortless style with its big sweeping curves of racquet-swings. Some players might be easier to emphasize stylistically than others.

    I’ll let it slide.

Maybe if this one goes over well, we will.

I don’t think I want to watch someone else play Han Solo

For me, there is some interest in seeing the endgame for this whole thing and the Russos have done good work with Marvel so far.
