I tried listening to Blur for the first time, "Parklife," and wasn't sure how to react.
I'm not quite on Liam's wavelength, but the recent trend of this song as an anthem after attacks has struck me as odd, somehow.
Is it ever okay for something to just be what it is? Lilith Fair put together a bill full of headlining women-artists and was successful. Was it everything that a groundbreaking, socially conscious festival could be, then or now? Probably not. But I'm not sure whether it was trying to be, or whether we should look…
The 95 VHS set had A New Hope on the box, but it was in fine print with Star Wars in the big letters, opposite the arrangement of the other two films.
For me, 1997 is the Lilith Fair year, and that's a good musical set of memories on the whole.
This is kind of what I was going to say. Granted, I grew up in a small town that probably experienced a delay in cultural movements, but I recall 97 being a pretty diverse, fun-in-retrospect year for music.

I've never watched any Twilight but I suppose that there's endless potential for stories in that universe? Really, more of the same seems doable.
Starring Kate Bush?
I like several of the writers, I suppose, but as good as the writing can be at its best, the reasonable/wacky comments are what makes this place special. I've not found any other place where I can engage in or read discussion without becoming regularly infuriated.
I tried registering there but need to check back and see if anything became of it. Seems a pretty careful place.
Huh, yeah when I perused the comments a few minutes after the fact, they seemed awfully slight, like something was missing.
Oh good, they understand us and our concerns.
A mediocre pharmacy.
Hmm, that's a good endorsement, as I have similar feelings about indie bands.
It's like meeting the band of my dreams
(The Decemberists)
And then meeting its beautiful album, Crane Wife
¿Como estas?
A holiday movie, but with the kid-in-funhouse thing being a pretty big anytime hook.
