I certainly enjoyed Wonder Woman more than any Marvel film since probably 2014.

Spot-on. I like all of them, but in terms of versatility I think that's about right.

I watched Whatever Happened to Pink Floyd: The Strange Case of Waters and Gilmour. There's a lot of analyzing of respective roles in the band, some varied soundbytes and critical takes, but more than anything it put me in a wistful state thinking about every great band that doesn't exist in its classic form anymore

Yeah, I was not convinced that Gadot is a great actress so much as convinced that she's Wonder Woman. The fact that she is the fish-out-of-water helps cover her stiffer moments. I think that someone else said it, but I just about can't imagine anyone else playing the character now. She looks perfect, and I don't mean

    UFOs are an implausible explanation?

There was some talk in the 'Patty Jenkins was unsure about Gal Gadot at first' article, although that one is at least a day old.

Ah, great comment to read out-of-context.

I have a long-planned minor revamp of my avatar that would kind of fit right in to this alleged move* in a couple of ways both practical and thematic (in a cruel twist of irony or something), but…IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN LIKE THIS

I tangled with Kinja whilst trying to comment on io9 a couple of years ago, and it was rather impenetrably hostile and strange. I gave up.

There was a girl with her dad in the row to my left, and she started getting animated at one point. It was cool, and nice to think of the memories she made seeing this film.

I usually dislike the Snyder slo-mo but I was generally pleased with its employment here.

Thor and the first Captain America film are great examples of building humanity and heart into high-concept stories. That's a good lead to follow, in my book.

Her theme appears twice, I believe. The electric cello bit from BvS, that is.

Yeah, it's more of a compliment than it sounds.

Finally able to speak from experience, I'm very happy to say that this film is pretty much the best case-scenario. The tone is perfect, the balance of elements terrific and it deserves to be a hit purely on its own merits, never mind franchise connections. Good work, Patty Jenkins.

This might be the best response to the cancellation that I've read, because you use the very things that the show was about—connections—to make the case.

While I think that it's fair to say that Sense8 could be a *little* shocking, I absolutely agree that it was about empathy, and not (it can't be overstated) about being clever.

That sounds like me with Fargo's latest season.

Out of genuine curiosity, what are some of the better commenting systems out there?
