They don't call it Dracula Unwatched for nothing.

    QuasiMETAL

Sony would like some recognition for its upcoming Black Cat/Silver Sable film.

I've noticed that it has fewer showings at the smaller/cheaper/more rural theater that I like to go to, compared with your typical big summer action film. Guardians and Pirates both seem to be getting more screenings as of right now. I haven't check the other bigger cinemas in the area.

I doubt they'd let Wonder Woman's faring affect Captain Marvel too much. Marvel Studios has almost made a career out of simply making things work, regardless of whether WB has failed or failed to try yet with the DC material.

It struck me, well at least re-occurred to me, that Wonder Woman is the first such film that appears to have been taken fully serious by its makers. If that correlates with success, good.

As you note, they haven't completely failed to capitalize on them. I think that Rogue was pretty good in the original film or two, just adapted loosely.

But they did fall off, generally speaking, after that.

    Ah, Facebook.

It certainly would make money, but at the same time, everything that Marvel Studios does makes money, and they have maybe the busiest franchise schedule that has ever been.

Who is the person saying this? A prominent voice or a rando?

    "Avenger Hers!"

That "Live Forever" performance seems just about perfect, stripped-down but sparkly just the same.

I haven't exactly followed his career beyond a few episodes of Dawson and Apt 23, but based on the Power/Rangers fan-film and having read recently that he was briefly, allegedly considered for the role of Anakin Skywalker, I've become convinced that Van Der Beek would be great for a key role in a big genre franchise.

    Welcome to the Hotel AVClubfornia,

Not to really speak to torture itself or that side of it, but looking at the other half of that comparison, the more 'generous' empathy that people extend to pets might be related to the fact that we don't generally ascribe malice to animals or regard them as being bad or evil. We look at ourselves with a lot more

    I know, but I don't understand.

It's possible that what we have come to know as 'reality' is actually just a giant TV show starring everyone's racist grandmothers.

Not that it adds anything to say it, but I still can't believe that this happened. It's so surreal.

You're an international treasure (of sorts), Noel.
