The YV never really felt particularly “Star Wars,” more like something a hungover EU writer typed up in a proposal after a long weekend of drunken Warhammer. And this was during the early days of the prequel era, so everything Lucas was introducing in the new movies, like the Sith, was largely out of bounds.

Today, Sony delivered some news that’s sure to get PS Vita fans mildly interested: Sony is back in the handheld game (kind of) via a dedicated remote play streaming device that’ll beam pixels from your PS5 straight to your hands. It’s called the PlayStation Portal remote player and it will cost you $200.

Diehards indeed.

I’m also not convinced it would be a feature to put it over the top. But to not include that functionality is a major miss since you’ll need to be at a PS5. You could have marketed it to another set of users that maybe never had a PS5 and you could push streaming gaming services. So you’re just limiting your potential

that’s sure to get PS Vita fans mildly interested

Handheld device that requires a $400+ device to do anything is “just $200".

for $200 you can get an android/linux device that plays more games and also offers the streaming capabilities this does.

Yeah that alone is probably the most baffling aspect of this thing.

So Sony has a streaming service & this is a streaming device, but you can't use it with the service, despite it having all the necessary hardware. This seems like something they will teach in business classes in the future.

I really can’t see this being a huge success. At this price point I’d just buy a Switch or save for a Steam deck/ Ally.

On one hand I feel like the price is good...until I look at the switch lite which can play games internally for the same price.

People who haven’t checked in with Star Wars since 1983 have bigger problems than Anakin’s force ghost to reckon with.

Now playing

I had no idea there were so many kinds of battles, each more necessary than the last.

Mega Evolve and Giant Sizing the Pokemon generally speaking looks cool, while Tera typing looks like crap. I’m somehow unsurprised they moved from “basically invent a bunch of all-new Pokemon designs” to “put a shitty looking texture on the models we already did,” with how the rest of the graphics in this series are

Sure, Terastylizing might have been practical but it made every Pokemon look stupid. Like terribly bad design. For that it’s rock solid last place for me. I never wanted to use it in the game as it made my cool monster I’d spent ages training look like some sort of grandma glass cabinet item. Awful

You forgot Rotation and Wonder Launcher battles

He really is Skinner in that episode

To quote Ian Malcom “that is one big pile of shit”.

Correct, the mod was not used by either of the players but instead by the spectator user that was streaming the match.

I’m thinking, based on “it was our hosts PC streaming the match and his responsibility, that the PC with the mod was just spectating and streaming the match (essentially a middleman for outside spectators), and so the only mods that could apply would be visual in nature.
