Should we lose these cheap knock-offs to time as well?
Should we lose these cheap knock-offs to time as well?
Is one of the features "make the default tile the last game you played and not the ad tile"? Please?
Yeah; I’m not trying to hide the fact I’m booting up the PS5 at 2 a.m. because I can’t sleep, I just don’t want to wake everybody else up.
I never realized how loud that is until I recently moved my PS5 out of my “man cave” because our wifi repeater is dying and I couldn’t get a decent connection without being next to…
No. When you turn on a controller, it either automatically signs into your default user/account, or it asks you which user/account you want to sign into depending on your settings. Then, when you turn another controller on (say, for splitscreen play), it asks you to either user a guest account or to sign into another…
Im kinda suprised they used the same beep for PS5 as they did for PS4. Its a little bit shrill, especially compared to the more pleasant Xbox noise.
Let me solo her cosplay is peak
Same. I have amazing, blazing-fast internet and my PS5 is connected via ethernet. I’ve tried Remote Play within my own home and it’s been very inconsistent.
My main problem with Remote Play is it’s great until it isn’t. PS5 is hooked up to a GB port and I have Wifi 5. The connection is great and then randomly disconnects for no discernible reason. I could be 10' from the router with LOS and it won’t work.
I can’t fathom how you go to even the occasional gaming site and have not seen mention of the Backbone. Hell, the site you’re on ran an article months ago that specifically referenced the Backbone as a probably better alternative to this thing.
Really? I see it as the opposite.
To be fair, that still looks less obtrusive than the Genesis/Sega CD/32X combination.
If it is running android then I cannot wait to see someone root it.
I have used streaming in my house when I’m not using the TV so I am literally the target demographic for this and I still don’t understand why it exists. If they put out a first-party Dualshock controller that could hold a phone like the Backbone, that would make sense.
Yup. Like, literally all they would need to do is release a first-party Dualshock controller that snaps onto a phone and they’d have a more cost-effective and more desirable product for most people.
That’s existed for over a decade in Remote Play.
Yeah, but why not just get a Backbone? It’s on both Android and iOS now and since it’s using Remote Play, the specs are pointless beyond wifi capability. Hell, the iOS one was on sale for $70 just a few days ago.
Can't everything this thing does already be done by owning a smartphone and say a Razer Kishi?
People interested in RTS games are likely to either be PC gamers, or Mobile gamers, and neither are likely to be interested in a console with low specs, paired with high game prices.
