She had a middling career as a folksy singer before the name change. I’m not going to put her on David Bowie’s level by any means but it is a bit like how he dropped a dead end style and adopted a completely new persona.

I thought she was too manufactured at first (especially after seeing that SNL appearance she clearly wasn’t ready for) but I have to admit she’s made the most of it and if that’s all she had going for her she probably wouldn’t still be relevant a decade later.
And Jon Hamm-starring newcomer Grimsburg
Family Guy at least still has some energy, I mean it’s (usually) not good but at least it moves along quickly. The worst thing about new Simpsons is how listless and anemic it feels.
They don’t specify which reality.
Streaming is good for getting word of mouth cult movies like Scott Pilgrim seen but the companies don’t seem to attribute any value to a streaming movie being watched. It seems to make them eternal flops when in earlier days home video would have “saved” them.
It’s like an In and Out Grilled Cheese
I have to say though... Maybe she doesn’t see much of this in her world, and maybe it’s a less than it used to be with her generation, but people are always trying to figure out if men are gay if they exhibit even the whiff of a “telltale sign”.
They may make being willing to accept those terms a condition of even being allowed to audition.
Yeah at least they’re vocal about them.
TJs used to be a lot more affordable. Being able to get “good enough” foods that were slightly fancier or healthier than a standard grocery store- and a lot of times, cheaper!- was their main attraction but now they’re closing in on Whole Foods prices.
Even their “spicy” isn’t too spicy. Trader Joes doesn’t do spicy that well (usually).
Also the second best Einstein. Maybe even the best.
I think there will always be stars, just because there’s so much money around a hot celebrity beyond the movies they make, like the whole entertainment news and gossip machine for starters. But b-list and down could be in trouble, yeah, and we’ll see “AI” characters whose actors died or aged beyond playing them again.
You wouldn’t? He has the money, I don’t blame him for trying everything possible (and credible). I mean he also probably wants to get back to his acting career as soon as possible and while he still can, too.
It’s a weird scene because they just invent all these rules in the last 15 minutes of the movie, these park ranger villains we’ve never heard of and the Santa’s sleigh motor, yet it totally works.
It probably was written two years ago. Long production time means The Simpsons is always a good 18 months+ out of date with topical references.
It does let them have a much longer list of current shows without actually making that many at a time, which probably balances that out.
He was just method acting to prep for Dirty Grandpa
People probably held back when talking to her about her father too. I mean an ex-co worker or even relative probably isn’t going to tell her about bad experiences they had with Lee, or if they do they will sugar coat it. So of course she’s only going to have a positive picture of him.
