Zelda spoke out against using AI to recreate Robin William’s voice (not sure if that’s hypothetical or something that happened) just a few weeks ago so I can see someone confusing the two stories and thinking the daughter was against this.

They were very generous about giving away free months too. I think I had like 18 months of free Apple TV during the pandemic for buying an ipad. That’s probably over or winding down by now but I think you still get like 3 months whenever you buy a device. 

I don’t think they’ll shut it down. I think they’re staking out their turf to hold on to over the long term. They do that in a few areas, like the Apple TV device or Homepods. Neither are top sellers but they’re kept around possibly to evolve into something later.

It’s extremely easy to do that but it can feel like a massive soul-sucking chore at the same time. Staying on top of that, just for things to watch, can be really annoying especially if it’s an account multiple people use.

There are two paths to becoming a comedy writer for TV. You can be a popular standup comic or you can go to Harvard. If they wanted to find more than 30 they easily could, but they’re not interested in looking.
