My guess is Saul does change, gives up that identity (“Saul Gone”) and the last scene is Jimmy in prison for 10 years or whatever and Kimmy coming to visit.

It’s classic military food and a lot of veterans have a taste for it, for one thing.

2020 was not exactly a great year for movies and there were fewer candidates to begin with. The Giuliani segment from Borat was probably the most talked about movie scene of the year and voters wanted to reward her just for that. But she was also a revelation and did a fantastic job in the role and I think she

Just Egg at least is mostly mung bean and seems pretty similar to eggless mung bean pancakes you’ll see in Asian cuisine. I don’t think it’s nearly as processed as Beyond/Impossible meats are.

The Just Egg patties are wonderful and the flavor is spot on especially when used in breakfast sandwiches (a little understated but still very much like egg). I think they’re a far superior product to the liquid version and a bit cheaper too.

The drug world depicted in BB/BCS is hardly unique to Albuquerque and there’s plenty in both series to show it’s a perfectly nice city if you aren’t a criminal.

I just rewatched it and... I kind of agree, only because it gets a little repetitive towards the end.

By the time Hunger Games was around there were a kajillion deathmatch video games. Someone could easily arrive at a similar idea from hearing about the Columbine shooters playing Doom without knowing about Battle Royale at all.

I really don’t think he considers “ripped off” to be pejorative.

Last-one-standing games had also been around and really popular for at least 5 years by the time Battle Royale was published. Doom and Quake etc had to be some part of where the idea came from.

Have I never seen Rob McElhenney clean shaven before? That looks like a completely different human being.

What if you hydrate the balls with some other liquid? I know my brother (who was very evil as a teen, calmer now) would have been spraying bystanders with ketchup paintballs or something if he had this.

The self checkout is almost always fast while there are long lines at cashiers. I don’t get the supposed hate either I would always take self-check if possible.

so please do not come in at 12:30 p.m. (near the end of his shift, when he’s very tired) and start screaming your orders and demanding multiple things with lightning speed. You will not get the best service

It’s a beautiful show worth watching for the production design if nothing else. There are some good ideas but it’s also straight up stupid 70s b-movie sci fi in a lot of ways too.

You’d see masks in the city scenes in season 3 and that was shot pre-Covid. I think that’s just something someone foresaw for the future. Masks were commonly worn in Asia in the post SARS 2010s so it wasn’t a huge leap to predict that might have become common here for some reason or another.

He’s a perfectly fine actor but he’s miscast, he’s way too boyish for this role.

I worked in quite a few restaurants for a while and while the owners may prize having regulars I think the staff was usually either indifferent or just annoyed. Like they could be the nicest people in the world and tip well and the servers would still have cruel nicknames for them and groan when they came in.

Yeah, I’ve read that possibility. I think that was probably intentional and there were a lot of intentional “maybes” so there’s no one real answer as to what went down.

Poor guy. Now he’s gonna have to do his 6,000 years in Purgatory.
