I have a feeling a lot of those those fans you talked to also didn’t think it felt earned but didn’t know how to express that. “I didn’t like where the story went” is an easy explanation to grab on to if you’re trying to explain why you’re dissatisfied.

C’mon, why not one more season on HBO Max?

Sounds like it’s an oral agreement that was made with an agent who is no longer with them though. It’s very possible they haven’t done anything for her since then or even been in contact and she had no reason to think they still considered her a client.

I don’t think it’s anti-STEM as much as they have blinders on. Harvard dominates in the entertainment industry so writers either went or are jealous of those who did.

Euphoria gets a lot of acclaim. I don’t think the explicitness of the material matters or is holding it back. But Zendaya is the main and her story is very big so of course it overshadows the rest.

She’s only 24 and she’s been working steadily on multiple big-name series and movies at a time since at least 2017. Honestly, how much difficulty could she have really had? Even if you’re extremely talented and have the right look it takes time to get a career going.

I liked Big Eyes, it was predictable like a true crime movie almost always is but it was still well made.

Cute how it’s the same pose as the Tom Cruise article next to it.

Kate Bush was around. She was on SNL in the early days, for example. She was a lot more famous in the UK and Europe in the 1980s and 1990s. In the USA she’s be considered “Alternative” so it was more something the artsy kids would listen to. Like The Cure, The Smiths etc.

It started really well but devolved into pure nonsense. This will probably be the same and I’ll watch it anyway.

John Travolta was originally going to be in American Gigolo before he dropped out and was replaced by Gere. I think we should get present day Travolta to star in this remake.

Getting change back also means coins. Who wants to keep track of or carry around pennies, nickels and dimes in 2022?

They already limit how many people can watch at once (one at a time on the lowest tier plan) which is reasonable and keeps any password sharing among people you’d trust. If someone lets their parents use their Netflix account they either have to spring for an expensive multi-user plan or never use it at the same time.

Any lack of involvement is also his choice. If he wanted to assert himself and say, steer Family Guy away from certain kinds of humor I think it would happen. He just doesn’t care and has moved on (and I think he always wanted to be an actor more than animator anyway)

One thing I noticed about Elvis is he has eyes that are very far apart. That’s a pretty rare trait and tends to make someone look just a little unworldly and unique.

How do these trolls get boosted as soon as they are made? I’ve been trying for years to get un-greyed on the Takeout with reasonable comments and it doesn’t seem possible. Does GMG tell their editors and writers to bring out the trolls to get the comments sections active or something?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they shut down the Redbox brand and used the machines to rent faith-based movies.

That neon purple is the color of our era, isn’t it?

Yeah this isn’t exactly Dumb Starbucks.

Also LA in the mid-90s was a much less desirable place. It was only a few years after the LA Riots and Northridge earthquake and there was still a tremendous amount of gang activity in areas that are gentrified and insanely expensive now like Echo Park.
