That’s how diners spread across the country in the first half of the 20th century. Prefabrication buildings you could plop down anywhere,.

Not in its current form but founder Bikram Choudhury was a creep who ran it like a cult and did just that.

Yeah maybe. But if Sudekis’ lawyer played it that way when their client is a celebrity (especially the guy playing Ted Lasso) that lawyer needs to be fired ASAP.

(dupe)

It was custody papers related to their divorce not a creditor trying to track her down and sue her or something. Why would Wilde run away or avoid them?

If it was a half-hour show sold as a comedy it would probably be less of an issue. I don’t know if it reads as comedy especially to someone not used to the modern comedy-drama prestige cable format.

Yeah and if NM OSHA did levy more who would it go to? I assume the fine goes to the state general fund or something and isn’t paid out to her family. Better her survivors are the ones who empty the production company’s pockets instead of the state of New Mexico.

Probably more than you’d expect because of Fire sticks and tablets and the Amazon connection. I watched Schitt’s Creek on it. The commercials were... annoying.

I was going for the latter!

Weirdly optimistic of them to think there is still going be an “Oscars” in ten years.

The two slices of pizza I enjoyed most in my life were at the Sbarro in the JFK airport after returning from a really horrid 25+ hours of traveling. They were probably terrible but I didn’t care. I can never hate on Sbarros again after that.

My experience with Taco Bell is the opposite. The app lets you swap out easily but when I go in person they want to upcharge up even if you’re getting something that should be cheaper like beans instead of beef.

I thought the inherent value of podcasts is being able to listen to them on your own schedule but evidently I’ve been doing it wrong and you have to play them the second they hit your feed.

It’s also a period piece so it’s almost a fantasy land. They don’t just think ““it’d probably be cool to be in the Mafia” but “it’d be cool to be in the Mafia in the 30s-50s.” Instead of what they probably would be back then which is some schlub clerk filing reports in an insurance company or something.

Not the one in Pasadena. They weren’t quite as awful as AMC at its worst but I had some bad experiences there like the house light coming on for 20 minutes and no one being able to find an employee. Hollywood was always great though.

It’s funny that they’re both movies where individual scenes are good but there’s barely a cohesive whole. Difference is Love Actually only has a few good scenes but the tone is overall consistent and almost everything in Elf is great but when it’s mashed together the whiplash is a little much.

Then go watch Red Rocket which was the truly Best Picture of 2021.

He had blown his $150 million on real estate

I thought Sub-Mariner was a late 60s or 70s ripoff of Aquaman. I had no idea he was created first.

I agree, I didn’t know anything about the guy personally before that and he was a really great guest especially for a writer. Funny enough Merrill Markoe was probably the best guest of all (besides the rest of the Journeymen) and she’s not really an on camera talent either.
