There’s absolutely a certain logic to Jeopardy clues in particular, too. Whereas quiz bowl questions (at least in my experience a decade ago) were always “who wrote Jane Eyre” Jeopardy always has some little hint or other way to narrow down “list of classic female authors.” I think Austin’s spot on.
