The problem with EV charging stations is that they take a longer than gas on average. So you have people sitting there for longer, you have to plan on a bigger station and longer waits. People doing a quick fillup on their commute to or from work or another errand isn’t feasible.

EVs are an ‘apartment owners and condo dwellers need not apply’ things. Charging an EV anywhere but your home or work is 10 times worse than fueling a car at a gas station. That cuts out a lot of the population in the areas that EVs actually work for.

Yup. About 1/2 or 1/3 of the gas stations in the US, most of which only serve a few cars at a time with a fueling method that takes many times longer than a gas station and are hard to find. Oh, and may also be in paid parking garages or some other ‘public’ but not actually open space.
