@Future Retro: Then HE would be the one to kill the signal...

I thought that this was going to be about the guy that runs cultofmac.com in some sort of accident

@thefastest: Yes, he is largely credited with bringing the company to a state of relevance and value that they hadn’t had in a few decades. However, this isn’t a "I made you, so I can break you" situation. Just because he had a huge hand in their recent success, doesn’t/shouldn’t mean that the board that oversees

@Gators15: "First of all, most CEOs for large corporations don't even respond to their consumers emails." There is a VERY good reason for this. Any "message" at that level does in fact represent the position of the company. Whether it’s the "official" company response or it is in the best interest of the company,

Just gonna throw this out there: If they were working on a software fix, why in the hell would Jobs provide such disrespectful guidance?

@Seshan: This is why it's not smart for a consumer product company to thinks that it can "punish" media outlets, which Apple has done for years. THIS is why... when they get an opening, they'll bring the pain. Frankly, I find myself reading this post, thinking "huh... i guess they are softening up a bit"

@JoeDogInKC: Really? You're seeing variance of 1.7Mbps to .1Mbps? Its not %100 consistent, but its also not off by that much

If you need to cover the phone in stickers... you blew it.

@adhir: A tremendous success indeed. That is, of course until the class action law suits start to form… Now that they’ve stopped replacing shattered phones and are (apparently) not concerned by the whole antenna thing, its only a matter of time.

@kylecpcs: Hell, I would be incredibly surprised if the RF engineers on the project weren’t kicking and screaming the whole time. Steve wants what Steve wants… science, engineering and common sense be damned.

They are sending the new iPhail 4 to Russia now?

I have a feeling that this is going to be one of those internet articles that will be seeing lots of hits for years to come… Im curious to see the number of views after its only really accessible by search engine

If they give it a solid battery and the ablity to work when you're holding it and I think they may be onto something...

Your phone has rights too:

Yeah, but all they found inside was Chester Copperpot's space suit... Bust

"Dont hold it that way"... Steve was pretty clear on the subject.

I see a lot of people citing the increased production schedules and volume as a "valid" reason for this to be occurring. The reality is that Apple is making money hand over fist right now when (apparently) some of that "extra" money was needed to guide the manufacturing process, test, etc. The root cause is greed…

@vinod1978: No doubt, but they (Google) arent claiming "sales" numbers.

@vinod1978: I think you’re missing the point… a free android phone STILL represents a new android customer
