Lemme be clear, I have every intention of Safari-ing my Toyota MR2 as well. Just trying to keep Jalopnik honest about the sidewall-to-Safari effect.

I think you’re just repeating David Tracy’s “Safari All the Things?”

I win.

I loved commuting in mine because I could use the whole rev range of the engine through all the gears without ever breaking speed limits. “Slow car fast” and what not.

This car ruined new cars for me. Dailied it for about a year, and now everything else seems numb. Jalops, all y’all can do yourselves a favor by adding the Midget/Sprite to you “Driving Bucket List.” Worth it.

FCA is the last line of defense for enthusiasts.

AND! Meanwhile at FCA:

Toyota remains on the list of “Please Just Sell Us the Damn Thing” automakers

It might just be the hunched-over “SUV coupe” look that makes it look so big. Other supercars have hips but the Urus just looks large.

Just like the heavy boi pictured, Lamborghini’s done itself a fatten with this latest thicc boi of an SUV.

Saw one of these on the freeway recently. Most of the internet pics don’t do this thing justice, it is huge.

the lead 936 broke a connecting rod, and the next 936 blew a head gasket, by which point the third 936 was sitting in 41st place thanks to a bad injection pump that took half an hour to replace

My MR2 has been awesome both as a daily and as a weekend Autocross machine.

Needs the 2.0T from the Veloster N. Give it AWD too and pretend it’s a crossover. 6MT or DCT as options.

I like how Porsche can get 365 horsepower out a turbo 2.5-liter boxer engine, and they put it in a small, ~3000 lb sportscar. They will sell tons of these.

Halfway through the video, I’m thinking Ford should make a modern rally Mustang, pronto.

Car clubs are great if you go to a school with a good engineering or design program. Good luck if you don’t.

big, expensive games of hot potato

Small car, biggest engine, biggest risk!

Looks like this one’s already good to go!
