Panning shots (and through other cars & objects) are the best!

There is no place on the timeline, no realm within the multiverse, where $78,990 for a new Nissan Z qualifies as “palatable.”

Watch this thing be an NA inline-8 (like the OG Bugattis) that revs to Mars and back. I think that’d be pretty cool.

I was very close to reviving my dead Toyota MR2 as an EV, at *great* cost, before finally finding parts for a head gasket job at a dealership in Ohio. For all I know, I also intalled the last ever California non-Turbo manual spec EGR valve on the car, also acquired at great cost.

Imagine showing up at a Corvette show and literally getting to say “they only made ONE in this color.” That’s worth the embarrassment of it being the This mf Buys NFTs Edition for sure.

I think this would be a lot more palatable if it — wait for it — was a hybrid.

I discovered BOC midway through last year (the Spectres album is almost double my age) and I really enjoy their music. I love “Goin’ Through The Motions” from that album as a song for trying to diagnose/repair my mess of a Toyota MR2.

Uh-oh, I guess I missed the memo about Camaros not being able to stick on big tires and rally...

Happpyyy Fridaayyyy everyone!! I hope your weekends are all off to an enthusiastic start.

The fact that this gets the EV powertrain as a trim level instead of a separate model is fascinating. From a marketing standpoint, the Folgore models being the highest-performance option establishes them as a compelling choice upfront. Since Maserati aims to offer every model with an EV version within this decade,

Mine’s a 2019 with the 2.0T engine! I started rallycrossing it last summer and it’s been unbelievably fun in that setting.

I definitely do my best to live by that approach! It’s always way easier to know what you wanna upgrade once you’ve at least experienced the cheapest option (and can figure out which specs/features need to be improved for your use case.)

That’s quite a valid reason to skip The Car Activities. Have tons of fun!!

That’s great to hear that it can be fun without too much investment in gear. I’ve at least got the racing seat for now, will look into a budget set of pedals and a wheel for sure. I’m very much in the “get whatever seat time I can” phase of my driving education.

The technology investment is definitely a point of hesitation for me too. I’ve got a set of aftermarket racing seats that were the wrong size for my Toyota MR2 (long story) that I’m thinking to use for the rig if I do build one.

I’m really stoked on this one. People used to say that Porsche “could never make an electric car that feels like a Porsche!” but it turns out... *Taycan.*

That’s awesome! Sounds like an extremely fun time. Definitely excited to hear your thoughts on the canyon driving, and that exhaust clip too! Maybe swing by a Cars & Coffee event and see how people respond to it!

What’s uppppp??

Lots of questions:

Oh, I just meant the fact that it’s got Camaro styling and branding is great. “That’s a NASCAR Camaro at Le Mans!” doesn’t need to be mechanically accurate to drum up excitement for both NASCAR and Camaros. Plenty of racecars share little or nothing with their street-legal equivalents, but still help sell the design
