This looks wonderful. The color pallet makes it look like The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan album cover come to life, and that shot of him holding the cat on the subway instantly charmed me. Them Coen boys know a thing or two about picture-making.

For all of his assholery, Bret Easton Ellis forever gets a pass from me for American Psycho. That said, this has always seemed like total garbage, and not the FUN type of garbage Ellis can do so well…

I also read still missing, and i too returned it! to barnes and noble; and when they asked why i was returning it, i said "because it was terrible."

I dunno; i just feel like Coraline is well established as a slightly weird, loner character, and there really wouldn't be any problem with such a person talking to themselves (or a mute cat)

I feel like if they really were concerned with exposition problems, they could've just given the cat a bigger role, and had Coraline converse with him, since he was a character that already existed in the story, and they wouldn't need to make up some new, useless character who rides a dirt-bike and wears fingerless

Am I the only one who thought the Coraline adaptation was a huge let down? I mean, it looked pretty, but it felt flat to me. Coraline is one of my favorite books of all time, and the film felt like it cheapened almost every aspect of the book, especially by giving Coraline some stupid, mute male side-kick. I dunno, I

Pretty much every single day of my life I will see something that will trigger a (classic) Simpson's quote in my mind. Or it will trigger me to become an unstoppable assassin.

Not Jack McCoy!

I wish someone like HBO would buy the rites to From Hell and do it as a tv show (or miniseries) to wash the foul taste of that crappy Johnny Depp movie away. Of course, no matter how good the adaptation might end up being, Alan Moore will still hate it. But damn it, it's worth a try! There's such a great wealth of

There are 938 responses, so I'm not sure if someone mentioned this or not, but I'd like to add the ABC 123 sequence from Clerks 2. The movie is a mix of "whatever" and "stupid," but that sequence is undeniably charming, and Rosario Dawson sure looks cute dancing on a roof.

"What was it exactly that lead to you two hitting it off? Was she ill? Or did your father witness her father committing a crime??"

The way he just kept going with it was incredible, and I'm sure almost entirely improvised. So good.

The fact that we will never have any new Elliott Smith music ever again always breaks my indie-kid heart into a billion pieces, then sets them on fire.

I feel the same way about Community. I thought last season's final ep, where they did it in a way that they weren't sure if they'd get another season, was a perfect way to wrap everything up.

That scene where it cuts to Josh Hamilton making that shocked "O" face is probably one of the best/worst things I've ever seen in a trailer.
