My question is why is "refusing to cooperate" being lumped in with those things as obstruction of justice when refusing to cooperate could theoretically mean "exercising constitutional right to not incriminate self."

Serious question: I understand how destroying the security system, etc. is possibly (probably.) obstruction, but why is "refusing to cooperate" included there as being synonymous with "obstruction of justice"? Is "declining to incriminate self" now the same thing as openly hindering a police investigation too?
