I don’t think characterizing COD in this way is correct. Black Ops 2 did a bunch of future stuff and did well. So did Advanced Warfare. But Infinite Warfare is, like, way out there, and it just went too far.

It won’t happen because in general upper class professionals do not unionize and have no desire to do so.

It’s incredible within that context (especially since EA targeted BF1 to topple COD), but still, A-B is right to believe they left money on the table by making IW this weird sci-fi game. And I can’t help but feel they saw it coming, hence the MW remaster.
