Cool! Assuming I find a job (finishing my engineering degree next month) I'm getting this for myself (the only person I Christmas shop for anyway).

Holy crap! I remember Rom: Spaceknight. But he's not the first thing I think of when someone says "Rom" so I'm not really in the 1%.

The Forbidden Planet thing occurred to me as well. Star Trek was obviously influenced by that movie but I understand not wanting to look like a copy of it.

I liked the original landing party jackets too. There were even caps (practical on rainy worlds) that were also nixed. I guess Starfleet didn't want to look too military or something.

Jenson gasped when he saw what was happening in the parking lot. Field testing at the Facility was a necessary part of the work being done but usually the scientists and engineers were able to contain things to the proper areas.

Panels are currently mounted on mechanisms (requiring an energy source) that move to keep the panels aligned with the sun. The panels they're talking about here would move on their own so they're more efficient (it's explained at the link).

One suggestion - have Drake played by Ryan Robbins.

Prometheus Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Same here (Skyfall and Hobbit trailer). I didn't realize it was coming out so soon and now I'm looking forward to it.

I'm not sure when the woman was abducted and killed. If it was after Tommy showed up then he has an accomplice or he can choose different forms at will. There don't seem to be too many black men in Haven so it would make sense to change into someone less conspicuous before the kidnapping.

They're running the countdown to the Hunter pretty quick. I think Audrey said something about three weeks left but I could be wrong. So it should be this season. I like the idea of the Troubles being permanent (or at least not going away anytime soon) after Audrey's disappearance is thwarted. That could be the

Yup. No body = not dead. He'll be back in some form. I'm starting to lean towards the shapeshifter theory. The body being dumped at the end of the first episode he appeared in was the real Tommy. It would also explain the arm in the ATM footage. I need to double check the timeline but wasn't it before Tommy came

That's good news. I'm guessing the season will end with the Hunter's return, a huge cliffhanger, and still a lot of unanswered questions so I'd be bummed if we didn't find out what happened next.

I'm not quite ready to say voting requires national service but many benefits (college grants for example) should.

I would have to say Starship Troopers (The book, not the movie) influenced my young mind many years ago. Of course I'm not advocating that only we veterans should have full citizenship rights. But it did make me think about things like the obligation of the individual to the state.

The propositions are easy. If the proponents haven't convinced me 100% they're right, I vote No.

You didn't even mention Carol! T-Dog's death would be even more of a waste if Carol didn't get away. If it didn't happen onscreen then she's not dead, right? (I don't think even AMC is going to show a child shooting his mother in the head on screen so that's a legitimate exception.)

I didn't even realize they were trying to be funny. The "humor" completely went by me. But on the plus side Zoe is back!

Even though it's not a "show from the writers of Lost", how long do you think it will be before Jorge Garcia shows up on Person of Interest?

Even though you don't mention SyFy's Face Off, it's definitely genre related. For example last week's challenge was to make a Grimm-like character. This week the final challenge is on Tuesday and the results show is on Halloween night, which is certainly better than the previous years' Very Special Episodes of Ghost
