While I find the "Bond is a code name" idea interesting, the first Craig movie sort of dispels that. In the precredits scene the station chief refers to him as Bond while saying he hasn't achieved his 00 status yet. In other words he was Bond before he was 007.

I think this program would be getting a lot of false positives anyway. For example, after a certain episode of SGU a lot of us were searching for things like nuclear explosions and blast radius. That spike didn't mean that a nuclear attack was being planned. Maybe not the best example but I think you get my point.

The SSN is still the main ID number. I had all my soldiers' SSNs (as well as those of everyone else in my unit) and one of my biggest tasks after retiring was shredding all my accumulated paperwork.

Rex is a first class asshole.

This is probably my "I feel old" moment for today. I remember seeing the Enterprise test flights on TV before a lot of the readers here were born. Watching the last launch this morning reminded me that I will probably never achieve one of my childhood dreams of going into space.

I prefer my evil twins with goatees.

For some reason, this simple concept (the relative speeds of different parts of a wheel rolling over ground) took me a while to grasp in my Dynamics class. But things like angular momentum require understanding it so I had no choice but to figure it out.

MegaKangarat vs TreeCroc.

My dry, deadpan humor often doesn't translate well to the internet. I realize they have to pay the bills but that Prius better not the key to escaping the comic world.

Wait. You mean there's an easier way for aliens to get water than invading Earth?

The Warehouse 13 webisodes are called "Of Monsters and Men". Fortunately for Artie, Pete, and Claudia the Prius got sucked into the comic with them. Is Toyota going to be doing Eureka-style subtle product placement this season?

It's 0600 for us here in California when these get posted. Obviously you're on the wrong continent. ;)

Wow. I really want to see a movie about that transforming penguin.

The arrangement gives the weevils more range of motion - 130 degrees in the middle and rear leg. [www.physorg.com]

And I bet he gives Sauron attitude like he did with Vader.

Hmm. What if the robot ended up with the personality of a teenage girl? But of course no one would be foolish enough to do that, right?

Cool. But it could use the Bayhem treatment - explosions, lingerie models, and people looking up.

You missed a step.
