Do you not modulate the front brake pressure? Front brake does most of the real stopping - that’s where the weight transfers!

Yeah, it’s awesome to be in just a t-shirt sometimes and feel that awesome breeze, but you NEVER know when something will happen, and a t-shirt offers no protection whatsoever

For me, cold is distinguished by whether I need a 3rd sock.

It doesn’t take a lot of watching to determine that a LOT of accidents are due to left turns. Same as cars. Except bikes get fucked up way harder in the collision. Same with crossing the double on a curve, except bikes do it way more than cars.

They say that about helmets, too. “If you wear a helmet, it’ll catch if you go down”.

Now, now. British food being a roast of prime rib with Yorkshire pudding and trifle can be excellent.

LOL. If Bruschetta is a nopen-faced sandwich, then so is a chowder breadbowl, or a roll - because people are failing really, really hard to recognize the essential quality of a proper “sandwich” as starting with 2 slices of bread.

IT IS RIGHT.

And you have no idea how long I’ve been waiting to unleash that video.

A folded slice of pizza is a sandwich, so you seal the rest of it and a calzone is a sandwich?

Then you shrink it down and a pizza roll is a sandwich?

OK, address the fold.

I have a huge NY slice of pizza, and I fold it over. It’s now meat between bread. You’re arguing that a slice is a sandwich?

“One piece of bread”-- like a sliced submarine roll or hot dog bun.

I suspect he believes that the fold transforms a New York slice into a sandwich.

A sandwich starts with 2 slices of bread. That correctly excludes all hot dogs, tacos, pitas, Hot Pockets, Pizza Rolls, eggrolls, Chinese dumplings, gyoza and other nonsense, along with all of things on rolls (i.e. “subs”).

A steak sandwich with thin-sliced steak between two slices of bread clearly meets the definition a “steak sandwich”.

Nobody puts a slab Porterhouse between two breads.

None of those are sandwiches. Those are a “French dip” and a “meatball sub”, same with a “cheesesteak” and “panini” and “torta”.

What sort of idiot appends “sandwich” to any of those?

would you eat a hot dog with a knife and fork?

I was thinking soy/almond “milk”. Sorry.

I’m sorry, but did we not go to war twice on behalf of Big Oil?

This.

GM and Tesla should be pounding on doors to eliminate the credits that give their competition a $7,500 price advantage.

Car-like EVs cause almost zero road wear.

Roughly 90% of all road wear, heavy, expensive road wear is caused by those 80,000 lb semi tractor-trailers. If anyone should be paying more, it’s the semis and diesel fuel.
