Samsung phones are super light. This often makes them feel cheap, but a lighter device will have less momentum when impacting the ground. The iphone 4(S) on the other hand, is a dense device. It feels really solid, but when it hits the ground it's a lot of glass hitting harder than something like the GS2.

This is in line with Verizon's LTE pricing. Additionally, the Nexus is expected to come with 32gb internal storage, so at that capacity is inline with iphone pricing. The Rezound is also rumored to come with some beats headphones.

The 4 month delay likely has a lot to do with this. The number of people sitting on upgrades waiting for a new iphone had time to accumulate. All these consumers got condensed into the launch weekend. I wonder if longer term this will balance out as most of the upgraders got their fix.

Strange that they are expected to announce the Galaxy Nexus (or whatever) which will be a US only Verizon phone in Hong Kong. I imagine Verizon paid a bunch of money for exclusive rights to this. Perhaps there will also be an international version not initially available in the US.

It would be pretty great if the devs of Siri buried some easter eggs in here so that it responded to commands like "tea, earl grey, hot" or "red alert."

This will be the first Nexus on Verizon and I think it has potential to be a serious hit there. This will be the flagship LTE device (sorry Bionic) through the holiday season. Verizon also knows how to advertise and sell phones. Google has mostly failed in this aspect.

Apparently this is what Google has used as the reference hardware for building Android 4.0. I would rather see the Exynos, but the OMAP 4460 is no slouch.

This is most likely my next phone. Most of the specs line up with past rumors. A couple things seem a bit odd.

Wait a little bit. Next week Samsung and Google will likely show off the next Nexus and Ice Cream Sandwich, and Nokia is supposed to get out it's first WP7 handsets around the end of the year.
