Actually Verizon LTE phones use sim cards so it's possible its a Verizon LTE phone, although the slimness makes me question this.

Google should build a theming engine into android like CM7 and MIUI have. This way all the phone manufacturers can just preload phones with their own custom themes and end users can just download new ones from the market. MIUI's theme engine is particularly amazing, you'd think google could do at least as well if

I've installed the Android version and can report its extremely underwhelming. It's just the messaging portion of the full facebook app ripped out into its own app. Facebook may be the worst successful tech company ever.

Brace yourself folks. Double dip recession, phase 2 starts now. While the reaction to the downgrade was severe, the US economic fundamentals don't lead me to believe we're going to recover quickly. The main reason for the S&P downgrade was a loss of confidence in the US government's ability to determine and enact

I suppose you'll only be allowed to drink synthahol.

He obviously spent a lot of time, energy, and probably money on this project. It seems strange he would skimp on the guard for the huge fan. I wonder what kind of safety precautions the DIY instructions preached.

Titanium Backup saves both the app and data. It gives you the option to backup and restore one or both app and data.

If you're really ambitious and have a lot of time and money, this is the way to go.

Not sure I think this is the primary reason Apple has been so successful. It's software. Samsung has an even bigger advantage in hardware as they produce almost everything, and they are only now seriously catching up because the Android platform is maturing.

Well at least we'd get much better android support for Hulu+.

Thanks buddy.

I got an invite from these comments. I'll pay it forward. PM me.

Everything looks better with SAMOLED+. While Samsung's phones often feel a bit cheap in terms of build quality (although it has been improving), everything else is top notch. They produce amazing screens and beefy hardware. It's amazing how quickly they have taken the lead in the android market.

If Apple does star making TVs, can you imagine if they try to release a new version and get everyone to upgrade every 1-2 years the way they do with all other iOS products.

I prefer my TV with as little software as possible. If I want apple content on I'll get an Apple TV to connect. Since Apple doesn't produce any panels I don't see how they can compete with the likes of Samsung, Sony, and LG.

A few weeks ago New York Magazine had a fantastic article about Roger Ailes, the founder of Fox News, and just how important he is to directing the republican party and consequently much of our country's politics. It's a bit scary how much power media has.

I'm not so sure about the ipad 3 having a "screen resolution around a third higher than the iPad 2." Wouldn't that break app compatibility? I'd assume they would pixel double like they did with the iphone 4, which is what some snippets of iOS5 code have implied.

I'm in the same boat. I have an upgrade now but I don't think any of vzw's current phones are worth locking in for 2 more years. My contract is up in the middle of july and I'm strongly considering bailing to t-mo or sprint.
