First off, I never said you were talking about me. Sheesh.

Are you trying to re-enforce my point? If you are, you did a bang up job.

I think you are way off the mark on this one for two reasons.

If it came down to it, possibly. That won’t happen, though, unless they get the green light from India and China. That’s a big “unless” to hang one’s hat on.

Maybe. I still don’t think that happens. The risk/reward of attacking the US is not only too great for them, but I don’t think Russia’s “friends” would ever let that happen. There is still to much money to be made off of us.

I was thinking about this the other day. The easy answer would be port cities and major oil/energy producers would be high on the list. So that means that even areas that wouldn’t normally be considered (like OK or central TX or anywhere that a major player such as Halliburton operates) are, in theory, on the table.

Not really anything to do with cars, but I went to the U.S. Open (for tennis) in NY one year. I had no idea how hard those “fans” go there. It was kind of insane. A bunch of super hot and fit folks with accents from all over the world getting their party on all day and night. The volume of sundresses and tennis skirts

Nah, China has all the money it needs. What is happening here has been in the works for quite some time. The deal was that Russia would start setting up while China took a lot of the attention for the Olympics. Now that the Olympics are over, it’s Russia’s turn in the spotlight while China does what it needs to do to

1st: Because no one ever in the history of anywhere has predicted that technology would evolve quicker than humans are able to understand and control it...

It’s not illegal at all, it just costs money. That is what lawsuits (ahem, modern america) is. There is only common sense when it costs/protects money.

Maybe. Probably more likely that it’s a tourist or a snowbird that wasn’t on their normal run to Publix or whatever. It’s amazing what happens in the winter in Florida with all the lack of common sense stuff vs. the typical Florida crazy of summer meth type stuff when it’s a trillion degrees out.

It’s pretty baffling that there isn’t some warning “written” on the seam line saying “WARNING: BACK UP. ” in one direction and “WARNING: MUST PROCEED FORWARD” in the other. Or at least a roadside signage display board that flashes the same messages when the other gates/flashers activate. Shit, they could just attach

A real Detroiter never shits on the city like this. It’s all fine and good to recognize problems and challenges, but I found this article click-baity mean. This is from a guy who got hit by an uninsured driver on the 375 on-ramp.

Actually, their headquarters were mainly in Ann Arbor, MI. I went for a job interview there once. It didn’t go well, lol.

Yeah, NYC is a crazy place. I don’t miss it one bit. The theory is to make a ton of money and then live somewhere cheaper for retirement. That way, just on scale alone you live like a king. What I found after a looong time living there, that it’s just not worth it.

It depends on how many roommates he has. Either way it’s gotta be $2000+/month, unless it’s a shared bathroom down the hall in a walk-up type of set up.

The Fleetwood/Bronxville area of S. Westchester is pretty nice, and they have driveways and gas stations and real grocery stores and all that. It’s way cheaper than most of the boroughs and it’s magnitudes of less crime. Plus, you get a couple of fun Parkways right there for driving and like 20-30 min on a nice train

What confuses me the most about this article is that you should know better, being a “Detroiter” and all. Cars and trucks are the least of the problems in Detroit.

Meh, I thought it was a pretty creative opener for a pretty mundane news snippet. Anyway, it’s a whole post that doesn’t mention Elon/Tesla, or Canadian truckers, or Bezos, and only includes the cops in so far as just using their Twitter video.

My initial view was that he buried in his phone or something. I watched it a second time thinking that maybe he was stoned out of his fucking mind, which made me chuckle. I’m sticking with the latter theory.
