I didn’t want to comment on that part of the “article.” You could spend all day, every day doing that. You are correct, though.

Not noticing a difference is just not true on a boat like that. Not saying you are implying this, but it’s not a cruise ship. Tough to tell from the vid, but it looks to be at most a 35'. I know from years of experience that movement while docked is vastly different from being adrift. With a hull like that, you can…
Depends on the marina and the boat. Maybe yes, maybe no. Both are plausible.
Possibly, but...that seems very unlikely. If that was the case, they kind of deserve it. Even though it’s the very tail end of hurricane season, to have a boat in FL in ocean waters and not keep up on the most basic of dockside maintenance is kinda a 101 sailing class failure. I’m glad they got lucky and are OK, but…
Yes there are several different ones that not only do that, but will hold your position indefinitely (if you have thrusters). It doesn’t look like this boat would have that level of capability, but surely a position change notification alert is available and not all that expensive. I’d imagine some marine smartwatches…
“I’m sure plenty of people have good reasons to buy a GMC Acadia. Well, they think they do.”
I never liked the idea of the Belle Isle race. It’s a unique place for a course, but that’s about it. Now that it’s officially going back downtown, I would fly back to see it if the timing is right. This might seem like an odd statement to those that have never been, but Detroit in the summer is an awesome time.
It “signifies” that you are extrapolating statistical results to make them whatever you want to focus on. That’s about it. If you have something profound to say about your findings, please share...
I’m not saying you are wrong in the least to want what is best for your situation, in fact, it is spot on. However, I don’t think it’s something that is as simple as GOP v. Me. It’s just too blanket a statement to make about an (many) issue(s) so complex. It really is just a bad idea to draw a line in the sand and…
So you were in Manhattan?
Oh yeah, that goes without saying. The Dutch are some freaky-deaky folks. Some of their porn is...unique.
Take a breath dude. It’ll be ok.
Thank you for being probably the first person in quite awhile around here to write an opinion on US policy/politics without stomping their feet like a child or flinging boogers at “the other side” of some imaginary divide...deciding the value of a person based on their perception of them.
I’ve got a pretty decent amount of Dutch in my blood, both from Holland and from Belgium, and I still don’t get it. We are a very stubborn, picky, and opinionated people. Also, the Dutch were pretty damn integral to the slave trade back in the day. The Dutch really like their boats and enjoy their ruthlessness.
Thanks!
Don’t expect him to ungrey you, but I’m just doing my little part to make today a nice day. Enjoy yours.
2nd: I think there is a lot more to staffing a shipping concern than wages. Sure, money is a factor, but I don’t think it’s nearly as important as you suggest. Working on those freighters is a fucking hard lifestyle. You can be on the ship for weeks on end, primarily doing 8 hrs on, 8 hrs. off shifts. There is no…
I don’t have much to add to the main gears today. They’ve all been beaten to death. Elon is doing his Asperger thing, stock market IPO valuations are crazy, JLR makes shitty cars, and backdoor dealings in government policy are “shocking.” That about sums it up there.
Those websites are all a joke, usually just algorithms. He’s definitely uber-rich. The point of my anecdote is that he’s a solid dude. Very easy to root for.
