Perfect, and true.
Perfect, and true.
I still own my 96 A4 since new, I do all my own maintenance, it is just as easy to maintain as my other cars (Hondas and Toyota) . I have never experienced any of the unreliability issues that are often mentioned regarding Audis. As far as the dash is concerned, there is a vendor in Tennessee that can rebuild the…
Hmm, let’s see, he dead sticked his aircraft after the carburetor went bad. Read the ntsb report to become educated. He will receive counseling and perhaps a reexamination ride. As an aviation professional for 30 years I have a greater understanding of how these events transpire..........I guarantee it.
Now that’s funny.
Hey man I get it. I work from home now, so i dont drive very far, and i wanted something kind of cool that could be my daily driver. I went and purchased a 1970 Short bed F100. A few modern (for 1980) conveniences included, a fox body mustang drive train and disc brakes, GTI Interlagos seats and an old school Alpine…
You know jack shit about what they do with pilots licenses. The new FAA program is compliance philosophy, he would receive counseling if it was his first offense. How do I know, 25 years with as a pilot with a major airline, and my involvement with voluntary safety reports, Mr. Ford may be subjected to a competency…
I spent many a winter in Pittsburgh doing the same thing with our 96 A4. We have owned it since new, 240K miles, I do all of my own maintenance, and it has been rock solid. Now my 04 TSX was the unreliable one, I had one of the early cars that had oil consumption problems, like 1 quart every 500 miles, a new short…
There are reserve pilots, true, but there is no junior pilot in the jump seat. I have flown the line for 20 years, the only time there is an augmented crew is during some international operations, that person is referred to as an IRO, International Relief Officer.
Well said, don’t forget the community college of Alabama, in Tuscaloosa.
It might be a bit high, replace the a/c with a vintage air kit. If you are looking to flip it, yes, it is high, but it says or best offer. My 72 Bronco had a decent body, and yet I had a ton of money invested, this has all of the hard work already done, trying to find one of these that does not have copious amounts…
Well, I haven’t seen this yet, so.........
I believe Joe Pesci has a corn field this guy can visit.
Thank you for the thoughtful article, I spent many a night at Lernerville Speedway in western Pennsylvania when I was much younger, and let me tell you, the skill and ability of the drivers still amazes me.
This doesn’t surprise me at all. I had an 04 TSX 6MT, I loved that car, unfortunately some of the early ones had an issue with the short block not being machined properly, the result was abnormally high oil consumption(1 quart/1000 highway miles) Mine was one of those cars, funny, I didn’t care because the car was so…
Oh man, the 747 was an absolute joy to fly. Fast (.85 mach), carried large loads effortlessly and was incredibly reliable. I am frequently on the latest variant the 747-8 at least 6 times a year. They have taken a great plane and and made it better. If you don’t believe me, ask the flight crews that fly them.
I would rather see people brag about high mileage cars rather than the climate controlled museum piece.
