This plane was most likely out of the Air National Guard base in Westhampton Beach, New York. One of 3 bases in NY that use this plane and that’s under a 30 minute flight to NYC.

Cool. Changing to SSD worked for me, but if you’re already there... obviously it’s not your bottleneck. Try the mods for handling the graphics textures. I forget the name but there is one that backloads texture loading from the initial boot to when they are needed in the game. It can cause extremely minor texture…

It’s been a while, but I think most of those capabilities I mentioned are available in MechJeb (version 2 now I think).

There are great mods including navigation computers to assist with all of that. I consider it a cheat, and admit I can’t navigate worth a damn without it. But all you need to to is target a planet, and it’ll assist with the rest giving you the wait time, plotting nav points, etc...

I agree with all the crashes when using mods... however you can mitigate the long initial load time with yet another mod, or by installing to SSD.

I’ve spent extensive amounts of time to refine my mod list to only essentials due to all the crashes.
