Could be... but I’ve never noticed any. And at times I’ve had Smooth Motion actually assist with screen tearing at higher resolutions and draw speeds. At least to my perception (I’m not claiming any real knowledge other than what I’ve thought I saw).

This is pretty silly. Rust spots (or ANY stain) on stainless steel cutlery can be easily removed in seconds with a scouring pad, which won’t scratch the blade. Doesn’t matter how old or bad the stain.
