THAT. WAS. AWESOME.
THAT. WAS. AWESOME.
Great episode, the moment where Christine realized that her relationship with Spock doesn’t even make it to a historical footnote was genuinely touching. “History needs him to be the exact opposite of what you need him to be in a relationship” is hard to hear.
Don’t skip the opening credits. It’s brilliant.
Plus, I get the sense that he legitimately and truly wanted that food that was not good enough for his wife...
Disclaimer: I think Gia Sandhu’s T’Pring is one of the best portrayed characters on SNW. She nails the Ice Queen we saw in Amok Time while adding enough “humanity” (gulp) that we can relate to the character. I enjoy Ethan Peck’s Spock. And Anson Mount is the most relatable captain I’ve seen in a long time.
Really?
T’Pring rules!!!
I really loved the moment, late in the episode, when Mount is bring a tray of something or other over the others, and something else happens that clearly raises the tension in the room, and he silently adjusts his course and ends up just looping back to his kitchen.
I worry that the show is so focused on finding a way for Spock and Chapel to hook up that it’s coming at the expense of T’Pring’s character.
Can we get a moment of appreciation for Sevet, apparently the only Vulcan in 200 years to understand humans and not be a massive jerk (from our point of view). He recognizes things like positive reinforcement as how humans learn instead of their relentless harsh judgment. This human Captain has taken time out of his…
I really love Gia Sandhu’s portrayal of T’Pring, and I was over the moon that Mia Kirshner came back as Amanda. I also absolutely loved Sevet; T’Pring’s dad is such a lovable goofball, and I would love to see more of him.
This looks like it could be a lot of fun. So what do we all think, $25m opening weekend? $15m?
Eh, I don’t know if it’s grooming, but...
You have a strange definition of bashing. I did not say the guys sucks, the movie would suck, he would not make a good Superman, or anything negative about the forthcoming movie. I was simply making an observation. I mean, the guy looks eerily similar to Cavill. Am I wrong?
Amy Adams is like a full 10 years older than Cavill.
It is not. Bitsie Tulloch is 42, Tyler Hoechlin is 35. Teri Hatcher is 2 years older than Dean Cain. Margot Kidder was older than Christopher Reeve.
So.... They found a similar looking, smaller version of Henry Cavil to play the role. Gotcha. Thank god they went a different direction with this. ROFL
Truth be told, most people have not followed the Miller story that closely. Miller was never a big star or had headlined a movie. The last time they’d appeared as the Flash in a theatrical release was Justice League, nearly six years ago. So I don’t think the controversy harmed the movie, except among the viewers who…
