That's not quite true. DCU Online does give you free content updates every 2-3 months (like the catwoman stuff, and seasonal stuff like valentine's day and halloween missions), and then the paid expansions like the Green Lantern and Flash stuff.

You can't buy better weapons/gear in DCUO, just skins and styles (the different looks you can equip to your armor) and stuff like that. You still have to play to get ahead.
I'm in love.
That's a lot better than the story we got. Would have been nice if they incorporated some of that into the narrative.
I knew this looked familiar!
In my opinion yes, unless it had a hell of a system for absorbing shock. Even at terminal velocity, there would be a lot of kinetic energy. More than enough to do some damage to the iPad I would think. Unless it landed SQUARELY on the back, which I think would be extremely rare due to wind resistance. More often…
sooo many typos in this article...
The zipped one MIGHT be fine. I find it hard to believe the open faced one would be anything but smashed if it were to land on concrete from that height.
Probably helped that they landed on a nice pillowy cushion of long grass. As a previous poster said, I would like to have seen what would happen if they landed on concrete. I'm guessing it would have been a different story.
Indeed the two stories are VERY different, but I could not help but feel a constant sense of deja vu throughout reading first Hunger Games book. That being said, both are definitely worth reading but I'm still of the opinion that Battle Royale is a MUCH better book.
Well, I for one draw the line at the ability to experience pain and suffering. Viruses and other simple life forms don't (as far as we know). That's one reason I would give as to why we should treat higher life-forms ethically and humanely.
I think I share most, if not all, of your sentiments about this game. Uncharted 2 was a MUCH tighter story and because of that I think it was more of an enjoyable game. Watching the featurettes, Amy Hennig pretty much admitted that they thought of cool set pieces first and then tried to write a story around them. …
Perhaps the purpose of these patents is not so much for Apple themselves to use, but more to keep other companies from using them. Just amassing more ammo for the inevitable patent lawsuits of the future.
Uncharted 4?
Avatar: The Last Airbender. Great show for kids and adults.
Will make upskirting in HD much easier as well!
Well, if you ever catch fire enough for the wick effect to take place, you were probably dead already so it's not THAT scary when you think about it. ;)
First of all, I'm not sure what you mean by the second half of your comment, but the wick effect explains why we find burned human remains where items like legs, arms, etc. still remain and fire damage is contained to the immediate area where the body is. People often chalked this up to "Spontaneous Human Combustion"…
Most likely a lit cigarette.
