Agreed. I'm not saying do away with the patent system altogether. It's there for a good reason, like you mentioned. I just think software patents specifically need to go away. Software is already protected with copyright laws.

Almost, I suppose, though I place the blame more on the patent system itself, and not on the lawyers and patent trolls who are just taking advantage of a system that needs fixing. And I disagree with your claim that it does not suppress innovation and customers would not be better off without it.

You're kind of misrepresenting the situation. It's more like everyone has been using the same antenna design for a few years, and there are hundreds of different patents that all pretty much describe the same antenna. Apple owns one of the patents that it bought from another smaller company, and Samsung and HTC also

Because culture has never been able to admit that humans ARE animals.

He said "it is not yet clear whether that was a factor in the lifting of the ban" and he never implied that the misleading evidence was the reason for the lift.

Indeed. For that much you'd think someone would do at least a LITTLE research before purchasing and find that it is ridiculously overpriced.

Not really. You can get a starter kit at 7-11 for $20.

Holy crap? $130 for a starter kit? You can get an Xhale02 starter kit at 7-11 for $20.

In the US, yes, but Android is the leader overall.

What about the Galaxy Tab?

It should be noted that the Galaxy Tab it refers to must be the Galaxy Tab 7", because it certainly doesn't work on the Galaxy Tab 10.1"

Yeah, you're probably right about that, especially since the price points are so similar.

Samsung has an ipod touch kinda thing that runs android. The Galaxy Player. Not available yet, though. :(

Sooo... basically it's the same way Honeycomb does notifications.

Sad but true.

It's been a long road getting from there to here.

Because the station is so bright compared to the stars that the exposure time isn't long enough to capture both the station AND the stars. Maybe if they used HDR photography they could do it.

haha! Forget whales! They couldn't even fit the entire crew in that ship!

Are you sure you're not thinking of David Hewlett, the guy who played Rodney McKay? Joe Flanigan is from California. Hewlett's from Canada.
