I am modder ...I make nice mods people can download and play to have fun with his game in new different ways, and every time somebody use “mod” for synonim of cheating, I die a tiny bit. I wonder how that use started, is horrible.

The Modern input style is hardly a cheat, since it prevents you from doing certain kinds of movements/tech that you’ll need beyond beginner level. So its just like training wheels; it makes it easier to get started, but it eventually puts you at a disadvantage until you switch.

Shadowrun, for all its faults and silliness, always nailed the Cyberpunk genre far better then the Cyberpunk 2020 did. A lot of that came down to better writers hired to write the RPGs and fiction.
