This list is sorely missing the Star Wars: Tales From the Galaxy’s Edge and Vader Immortal games! The light saber dojo levels of VI made for immense replay value and I’ve never had more fun force flinging sabers around me at aliens and bots.

The higher resolution and refresh rate are enough for most Quest 1 users who've actually tried it. The improved refresh rate alone reduces VR moron sickness for a lot of people. The only drawback is they didn't use OLED screens in Q2, which sucks because I would have paid more for that option.

Looks pretty awesome. Although the “Get over here” moment sounded very.. off.

“It’s a birthmark” - lol...does it mean “Hope”?

So I bought a Quest 2 right after xmas on a whim, some family members got them and even though it wasn’t on my radar, I did some research and it had a few games I wanted to play. I had more than enough in giftcards on amazon so I ordered it. Now I’ve ordered a bunch of accessories/mods through aliexpress to improve

Its worth mentioning that the Quest and Quest 2, when used in conjunction with a PC and a bunch of apps, can be used for Half Life: Alyx.

...and yes, playing HL:A is worth having a temporary FB account.

If you like Beat Saber, check out Pistol Whip. It’s a rhythm game like Beat Saber, but you’re a John Wick-style action guy, shooting people to the beat of the music. It’s very good.

I would add “Red Matter”...slower puzzle-y gameplay on a moon of Saturn in an alternate cold war timeline.

Guys, we get it, Facebook bad.

I know this is mostly about games on Oculus store, but I think you can use it for Steam as well, so... no Half-Life: Alyx?

Sadly, yes.

My new “Babbu Frick” Facebook Account says yes.

“Alex Guerrero, a philosopher at Rutgers”

A technology that has yet to be invented is closer to us than peak oil? Maybe. Oil companies and the media have been proclaiming that peak oil is already here, but we won’t know for a decade if that turned out to be true.

It’s amusing to see criticism that even if it works, it won’t fix inequality or whatever other issue you’ve attached to it. Who cares? Are you here to stop climate change or not? Stop writing climate pieces as an excuse to whine about billionaires.

Technology for cheap carbon dioxide removal at scale is still, arguably, no closer to reality than fusion power plants

Those are later steps. Having a concept and making sure it’s physically possible come first.

Damn these billionaires for giving hundreds of millions and billions of dollars towards technology that is aimed at addressing the problem!

You’re presupposing “cheap and portable” is possible. And imagining the machine’s form factor—” a catalytic converter-style device”—rather than how it could possibly get the job done

Ehh, I don’t see what’s wrong with carbon dioxide removal, especially if the technology can be made cheap and portable enough to add to power plants and, eventually, mobile vehicles. I’m imagining a catalytic converter-style device, but for CO2.
