Holy shit that’s some good strawmmaning. Well done- I didn’t think any self respecting writer would oversimplify so many different facets of political disagreement in one article in order to attack a position that literally nobody is taking, yet you managed to do it. Congrats.

As a fellow atheist, I’m 100% with you. By all accounts, Tebow is a great guy in person. Hating him because other people talk about him all the time is pretty unfair. The guy wants to play baseball and he’s been given the chance to do so- let him enjoy it. I’ve seen precisely zero evidence that he’s actually a

I also find it interesting to say that it’s racist for a company to advertise to a population. I hate tobacco as much as anyone, but saying that they’re trying to make money and believe you’re a viable market isn’t really nefarious. If we found out that Mercedes was advertising to Latino consumers would we blame them

Lol, what do you even think you’re responding to? When did I say he was the worst ever? And I’m the one who is too invested in this? You’re telling folks online to “relax and enjoy the damn game” while attacking your strawman construction of their arguments. Lol, but I’m the one who is taking this too seriously.

I didn’t think that my comment in any way implied that when I said “everyone else in the entire league” I meant “ever, in the history of basketball.” Same way if I said Draymond plays better defense than everyone else in the league it wouldn’t mean I was saying he was a better defender than Rodman of Bill Russell.

Hey Beth,

This article is less hot-take and more hot-garbage. Utter nonsense from start to finish. Just by way of example, can we get rid of these anecdotal claims that losing a tight one is somehow good for teams? For every example people have of a good team losing a heartbreaker and coming back I can think of a dozen teams

I was saying the same thing during game 4. Draymond complains that he gets extra scrutiny, but I’d say it’s pretty clear that all his whining makes the officials LESS likely to T him up. I’ve seen Draymond yell “THAT’S FUCKING BULLSHIT!!” right at the refs more times than everyone else in the entire league, yet they

I’ve watched maybe 14 of the Penguins games this postseason and can recall numerous times I’ve been legitimately shocked at how early the refs blew the whistle with a loose puck that saved the Pens. This is by no means the first time the Pens have avoided giving up a goal due to an absolute gift from the officials.

I have no idea what your point is. It’s clearly unrelated to anything I actually said.

Ay yi yi. So much to unpack here. The most absurd thing is to claim that it had nothing to do with the money. It was directly tied to his television announcement. That’s literally how he raised the money. And sure, he could’ve given $3 million. Heck, he could do that now, so I guess you must be pretty upset he’s not

“People seem to forget that the problem with The Decision wasn’t that he left Cleveland as a free agent and joined a team of stars, but manner in which he announced he would be doing so.”

I agree about The Decision. Lebron leaving to join a team of superstars resulted in $3 million dollars being donated to charity. KD doing it accomplished nothing other than making this season an incredibly boring and inevitable march to the finish.

Dear Deadspin,

Agreed. People seem to always ignore just how serious criminal charges are. Getting the law involved almost always has incredibly serious repercussions. We all too often rush to the police for the smallest of things. The guy walked away just fine. No harm, no foul. I don’t love the Ryan brothers, but they

And that’s exactly what I addressed above. Your comment was making a completely incoherent point.

“No I was trying to make a point about comfort levels and understanding that we all have limits. Something that he seemed to reject when offering up his opinion about PC culture and comedy.”

I just wanted to clarify the temperature of the one you preferred. Originally (and in the caption of the picture of the two different textures) you said 130 degrees, but in the last paragraph you say 135. I assume the last one is a typo, but wanted to be sure.

Thanks! And sorry for the language mixup :(

What is going on in the italian one? The youtube title is “man get’s electrocuted by grapes”. That only makes me more confused.
