Why did I click on this headline?

I didn’t realize that in order to be a good person someone has to agree 100% with your policy preferences. Based on your metric I think that the answer to your question is “however many people it would take before Katie McDonough would be President.”

I don’t understand the logic behind this. The conclusion would hold up a lot better if you said “be the fan you want to be and don’t let it bother you if people complain.” But one of the major hallmarks of a “good” fan base is attendance, and if you can’t sell out an 18,000+ stadium for a home game in the conference

Thanks!

What does “doubled off second” mean?

I agree. It’s a shit story.

It might be a fair point, but it’s a pretty bizarre one to make given that he said he wasn’t going to justify or excuse away his own behavior. Blaming Bennett for not taking actions that led to him writing his earlier column sure sounds like he’s making excuses for his own mistake.

But it’s not hypocrisy to look at two similar but distinguishable things and claim they’re different. I just went back and watched Bowen’s play against Vince Carter and Steve Francis. They’re very clearly different kinds of defensive plays. Pop said his problem was “the two step, lead with your foot closeout is not

Wait, have we gotten so upset with baseball’s unwritten rules that we are now celebrating bat flipping? I think the way pitchers get upset about this is stupid, but I also don’t think throwing your bat high up in the air is cool. It’s as stupid as getting upset about it. The homer is cool- just celebrate that and

Of course not. Like I said above, there’s a difference between saying an act that leads to harm was unavoidable and avoidable. Go read Pop’s statement. He doesn’t say that when a guy lands on someone’s foot it’s always a problem. He says Bowens behavior didn’t amount to actions that were so negligent as to warrant

I don’t disagree with any of that. My point was merely that Pop’s comments aren’t hypocritical. The comments about Bowen can be wrong (and probably were), but that doesn’t mean that he was a hypocrite for being upset at Zaza while simultaneously thinking that Bowen’s behavior didn’t warrant punishment by the league.

Eh, I’m not really seeing much hypocrisy there. He’s not saying it’s impossible for guys to make bad plays when sliding under a shooter, only that Bowen was getting unfairly treated. Bad things can happen that are unavoidable, and recognizing that doesn’t mean that you’re not allowed to be upset when a bad thing

Eh, I’d say it’s pretty easy to pick sides. Pop was doing his thing as a coach to defend his players; Zaza is defending his kids. Nothing that Zaza or Pop said was really all that wrong. The fans who are threatening kids are monsters. Lets go after them.

“It’s rinky dink. It comes across as entirely JV.”

“and demanded something back promised to him”

I don’t really disagree with any of what you said, but I do find it very telling that this is the hypothetical you (and the two other people that seem bothered by my initial statement) rely upon. You’re not responding to the scenario I discussed, which dealt with a baseline “who has the right to that space when you

If your takeaway from my comments is that I’m saying that asking for considerate behavior is selfish then you have serious reading comprehension problems. I’m not backpedaling on anything I’ve said- I fully stand by it. The problem is that what I said fairly obviously never meant what you seem to think it did. Go

Agreed! Good thing I didn’t say that!

Any mention of the WatchESPN app? Because good god almight is that thing a steaming pile of shit. I’m a native Washingtonian and didn’t watch the first half the Wizards game 6 against the celtics because it buffered at least 2x for every minute of gameplay. And I have comcast’s Blast (200 mbps) internet connection.

“but according to what you wrote, if you have back issues shouldn’t you also be flying economy plus/first class?” Huh? Of course not. They have the right to recline their seat- if them exercising their own rights alleviates their issue then they are absolutely permitted to exercise those rights and fly in a healthy
