A) I’ve never said you’re selfish, only that the act of telling someone they can’t do something they have the right to do simply because of its impacts solely on you is a selfish thing to do. Same way that if I tell a hilarious joke it doesn’t make me a hilarious person. It’s a fairly obvious distinction, so please

The unweighted lottery example is a good one to show just how impossible it is to set up the system perfectly. With an unweighted lottery teams that are at the bottom of the pack could go literally decades without ever getting a chance to snag a franchise changing player- that clearly isn’t what the league (or fans

Since everyone else replying seems to understand that’s not what I’ve been saying, I’d say I’m fooling a whole bunch of people in addition to apparently somehow fooling myself over my own intent. Since that doesn’t seem to be what I thought I was saying, isn’t what I actually said, and isn’t what anyone else thinks

Lol, nope nope and nope. Not my argument at all. But I understand that misreading things and then getting furious at internet strangers is a well celebrated pastime online, so enjoy :)

All of these suggestions seem to treat losing at the end of the year as caused solely by tanking. The worst team in the league (and therefore the team that most needs the top draft pick to escape from their bottom of the league status) is going to lose a lot of games no matter how hard they try. That’s why they’re a

This would be great, but I have never heard any plausible explanation for measuring “playing hard”. Heck, as Cuban says in the video, the problems with Dallas weren’t guys not playing hard. Every player that goes out there is going to make his living by convincing teams that he’s a good player, so there is already a

What’d they expect when they put the word “Vagina” in the name of the city?

This is phrased as a lengthy rebuttal to my original comment, which is odd given that you say this: “I don’t get mad at the person in front of me when they recline. It happens. I’d like for them to be a little more considerate, but don’t count on it.” Since that was exactly my point, I am glad that you and I are on

I’m actually the same way. I hardly ever recline, and I always look behind to see what the situation is before I do.

Oh c’mon man, get out of here with that absurd strawman. If your health requires you to have more space than available in a commercial flight then I don’t know what to tell you. Buy economy plus/first class/etc. Or just ask the person ahead of you not to recline and hope that they don’t have back issues that make

Nope. Are you someone who thinks other people’s behaviors should conform to what you want them to do based on your own comfort? Cause, if so, you’re selfish :)

But they’re not invading your space. The fact that you have control of the seat reclining functions when you buy the seat means that you have the right to that space should you want it. And it absolutely does make it explicitly allowed. That’s the whole point of giving you the controls. That’s like complaining that

See, I get that, but it’s still just a selfish reason. The person in front of you clearly has the right to recline, you clearly know your body size when you buy your seat, so I see no reason why they can’t recline. You can certainly ask them not to, but getting mad about someone doing something they absolutely can

I never get this debate. I’ve never been angry at the person in front of me for reclining. They paid for that seat and they were given access to the button that controls reclining, so it seems pretty much self evident that the can recline if they want to. Complaining about someone else doing something that they

I am a wizards fan, and I was SCREAMING at the TV for Brooks to pull Gortat. He had an absolutely terrible game at both ends of the floor. I cannot believe that Oubre (who did a pretty good job using his length and athleticism on defense in the first few games of the series) played zero minutes in this game.

What the hell was Gortat doing out there for most of the night? He had probably the worst game I’ve seen him play all year (which is saying something), but Brooks left him in there for huge portions of the game.

And Flynn was Obama’s fault.

If Kevin Durant played as well in the 4th quarter of big games last year as he did last night he’d probably already be sporting a ring.

I studied in Melbourne for a semester in college, and I can honestly say this sport is utter garbage. It SEEMS awesome when you first see it- guys running around full speed smashing into each, kicking field goals, and generally kicking ass. What’s not to like? The problem is that after you’ve gotten over the “holy
