The problem Deadspin has with Covington is not that he should stick to sports. The problem is that he is saying repugnant things and acting like a MAGA chud.

I have no idea what other notice plan is in place, but obviously you (and the OP) know about the settlement and have several months to decide whether to opt out or not. I’m not defending the amount of the settlement, but it seems weird to engage in counterfactuals to complain about process.

Because you’re being told about a settlement and given the option to take part, or not.  Doing nothing and choosing not to make a claim is a choice.
